Here’s a picture that is currently floating around the internet, claiming to be the Kaiyodo Amazing Yamaguchi Venom. It sure looks to be the real deal…
Crazy articulation and that stylized look. I think it’s legit. Of course, I’ll believe anything if I like what I see. And I’m liking what I’m seeing here.
If the upcoming Spider-Man is as good as the Deadpool then I’m in for the long haul with the line. Spider-man needs a baddie to fight and this Venom will fit the bill perfectly. It looks to have articulated fingers and toes (although seeing the toes themselves is kind of weird), and even the tentacles have a few joints in them. I’m hoping for interchangeable heads or at least jaw, give the figure some different display options.
But yeah, there ya go. More info as it comes along.
UPDATE Looks like it is the genuine article.
Modular tentacles, you can see it replacing the right hand in the above pic. The spiky symbiote on the shoulders and forearms doesn’t look removable though.
The placard states that the figure is for reference and gives a release date of Spring 2017.

Yeah, they’re like the opposite of hand candy. Not fun to pose.
Look great IN poses, but not fun getting them there.

I might actually get this one (if it’s legit), as the jointed look would feel less unnatural compared to their Deadpool and Spidey.
