Oh man, finally. FINALLY. Tamashii Nations has finally posted solicitation info and pics for the S.H. Figuarts Luke Skywalker from Star Wars: A New Hope. And he’s coming sooner than we thought!
First though, Bandai has also dropped info on the Heavy Gunner Stormtrooper from The Force Awakens. It will be a Bandai Web exclusive so while making it a little harder to get, it’s won’t be impossible.
It looks like the gear is removable to give a clean trooper look. It comes with several sets of hands and the pistol that was missing from the original trooper release. It’s set to release in August.
But as nice as the trooper is, the big news we’ve been waiting for is Farmboy Luke. It’s been over a year since we originally saw some sneaky pics from an overseas show and it looks like the wait has been worth it.
The alternate smiling head is…weird? I don’t know, it’s not what I’ve come to expect with an extra face. Usually it’s a normal head and then angry/battle ready. But I will definitely take it. Weird isn’t a bad thing.
And remember, the 3D printing thing Bandai is doing with the faces is a little rough in close up macro pics, but in person, beautiful.
The other accessories are pretty awesome. A blast helmet and training ball that seems to attach to the lightsaber. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
Best of all? He set to release in May along with Mace. The original date on the page read July, I saw it when I first woke up, but it changed as some point to May. Can. Not. Wait. Solicitations at your favorite overseas shops should be up very soon.
