This week’s featured custom is Lucid Silverback’s Bigfoot and Little Grey!
While I love DC and Marvel customs, it’s always nice to see a little variety in custom subject matter. Cryptozoology seems like a great basis for a line of super articulated action figures. It’s one of those fantasy lines that I daydream about getting in a super articulated form, (along with Samurais, Dinosaurs and Cowboys and other such things) so I was really happy to see these customs. These guys make me think of those old ‘in search of’ tv shows.
The quality of these two customs is top notch. I’m especially impressed with the sculpt on both head sculpts. The fur on Sasquatch is mostly etched in with a dremel and accented with additional sculpted fur. The overall effect is really nice and the paintjob sells it as fur nicely. The eye paint job on Sasquatch is also very good – I feel like there is some life behind those eyes!
