Diamond Select Toys is proud to announce the acquisition of the Friday the 13th license. Debuting in 2010, DST will launch the first of three minimate boxed sets based on the iconic horror franchise. Titled “Friday the 13th Through the Ages” each boxed set will contain 4 minimates depicting Jason Voorhees in his different incarnations from the past 30 years. Each minimate will come equipped with 3 movie specific weapons.
Designed and sculpted by Art Asylum, each Friday the 13th Minimate stands two inches tall and features 14 points of articulation as well as a host of removable and interchangeable parts and accessories. Jason part 1: Repainted minimate with resculpted Spider-Man head cap.
Pamela Voorhees: Repainted minimate with resculpted Tony Stark hairpiece and Jigsaw shirt piece. All weapons (minus knife)were modified Hobby Gear tools that were moulded and recast.
Jason Part 2: Repainted minimate with sculpted sack head cap and resculpted Human Torch shoulder flame accessory. Sackless head is a resculpted Spider-man head cap. All weapons were modified Hobby Gear tools that were moulded and recast.
Jason part 3: Repainted minimate body with resculpted Spider-Man head cap and Jigsaw shirt piece. Hockey mask was custom made from a modified Buffalo Bill night vision goggles It was moulded and cast into one solid piece. All weapons were modified Hobby Gear / G.I Joe tools that were moulded and recast.
