  1. I find Hasbro’s lack of faith in the 3.75″ Black Series most disturbing. I love these designs for Rogue One and want them in the scale we collected for decades….ya know the one with all the playsets and ships!?

These look cool though,I’ll probably not be able to resist a few

  2. Except for Krennic, they all look pretty good, and I’m glad Vader doesn’t have a removable helmet gimmick like he’s from a Happy Meal, but I’ll be waiting for the figuarts versions. As a great man once said “No broke sh** in my life, cause I’m scared that sh** could rub off on me, I’m superstitious, no lie.”

  3. I think they got really close this time with the helmet. I wasnt a fan of their first Vader but, Hasbro totally redeemed themselves in my eyes.

  4. It’s actually pretty decent. The 3d model looks perfect to me, and I expect some inaccuracies due to the mold process, but I honestly doubt that a better helmet is even possible from Hasbro. So after trying the Black Series, Bandai model, Figuarts and Mafex ones, plus a bunch of custom figures, I’ll be happy enough with that one.

  5. Oh yeah. I think I’m going to like this Vader. I was a little worried in the last article for this that they’d do to him what they did to Krennic. I’m pleased to see that I was mistaken.

  6. That’s crazy, the Hastings that is closing had a couple a few weeks ago. Not that I saw him out and about a lot but he was one of the more easier to find figures around here.

  7. There may be reuse of the feet, hands, and maaaaaybe the crotch cover, but everything else is different. More subtle on the arms and legs but the big differences are the glove tops, chest box, and boxes on the belt. And then of course the helmet.

  8. (I assume you mean Episode IV) Anyway, not like THIS it wasn’t.
I suppose it’s possible that his helmet is really dull in Rogue One, but that’d be kind of weird.

  9. In Episode 1 (and presumably Rogue One) Vader’s helmet WAS more flat colored. It only became super shiny in the later movies.

  10. Vader just looks like the first release with a normal colored version of the walgreens exclusive Vaders head. Kind of like we were speculating would happen months ago.

  11. I just hope I can find him in stores. I saw exactly one Vader in the wild. One. That’s pretty nuts for a character that popular.

  12. On one hand, I’m glad they are going to do an Ep 4 Vader.

On the other, I wish they would have updated the figure to have better articulation, a helmet that doesn’t look as huge (He’s supposed to be Darth Vader NOT Dark Helmet), and double jointed knees and elbows.
