Even More Amazing Yamaguchi Venom and Spider-Man Pics

I feel like I have seen the Amazing Yamaguchi Venom and Spider-Man from every angle possible, in seemingly every pose imaginable, and I still can’t wait for them to release. No pic fatigue at all. I even want to see more. It’s almost like watching a magician over and over to try to figure out her tricks. Even though you’ve studied it for hours it’s not until you actually get hands-on that you realize “Ohhhhh, that’s how it works! Amazing!”

That’s a long-winded way of me wondering what the hell is going on with the Venom. It’s a beautiful jumbled mess that should look terrible, but it doesn’t. And I understand it’s camera angle and gappyness and some ugly joints, I learned that with the Deadpool, but Venom is still a thick hunk of plastic that shouldn’t be able to do what these pics are showing.

Sorcery.

It’s even spelled out for me and I just stare. But…..the plastic….how?

It gets even more crazy on the back and shoulders. Now, I’m sure people with more Revoltech experience are about fed up with my rambling about how and oooo and ahhh at this point, but this impresses the hell out of me.

On the other hand, people who hate the Revoltech joint system are probably looking at me like I’ve lost my plastic-lovin’ mind. Like I said way up there, a jumbled mess. But once you learn to appreciate what the joints can do instead of what they look like from every 360 degree angle view it’s almost like your brain can’t see them as much any more. They kind of fade into the figure and you look at the character and the amazing pose it’s in, not the action figure that has some balls showing.

Okay, that was trekking all the way around the perimeter to make a balls joke. Worth it! But that also brings us to Spider-Man, who doesn’t have the advantage of being monochromatic, so the joints may be more apparent.

Good spread of accessories, and I’m hoping that background comes in the package. But like I said with Deadpool, these aren’t meant to be displayed vanilla. These are born to pose.

I mean, just look at this.

And a Spider-Man figure that can do this is okay in my book, stylized and jointy be damned.

Venom comes with an extra top of the head to change his eyes and symbiote tendrils that have several options. You can see those pics along with more Spidey and more awesome poses in last week’s FwooshTube Weekly Recap.

Spider-Man releases soon, scheduled for January, while Venom is a bit more of a wait, dropping in April.

Suck it, Indy.
