1000TOYS: TOA Heavy Industries Collared and Reprogrammed Body (C.A.R.B.)

I love me some off the wall action figures, and 1000TOYS’ C.A.R.B. does not disappoint. Another fantastic release from 1000TOYS, C.A.R.B. is the latest in their scale from 1:6 to 1:12 action figure series.

We here at Fwoosh are starting to have a little crush on 1000TOYS and their line of 1:12 action figures. First I fell for them, now MattK, and I am certain that soon we will all become victims to this line of superposable 6-inch action figures.

TOA Heavy Industries is 1000TOYS property for all things robotic, starting with the Synthetic Human, branching out to C.A.R.B., and there are even more robot thingies on the way. It’s a great line of action figures coming out of a small company focusing on something different with a ton of engineering.

For the most part, C.A.R.B. uses the same base as the Synthetic Human, but clearly something’s gone awry story-wise as the C.A.R.B. has a few different parts, specifically some less human-looking parts and more square robot parts. In addition to being more robotic, the parts are also full-on psycho killing. The right hand has a fold-out blade, the right foot also has a fold-out blade, and the left arm is all robo with some push-out swords. I don’t know the whole story, and there probably is a story, there always is, and whatever it is, I’m certain it’s cool.

This figure is great. I’ve had zero quality issues. I’d heard there were some issues from the Synthetic Human, but I’ve yet to experience them. C.A.R.B. is a straight-up solid figure with a beautiful design and excellent engineering. The figure is superposable and is pure hand candy.

This is a great figure, and if you still want to get one, you can. And I recommend that you do. They are small for Marvel Legends scaling, but they will fit in with S.H. Figuarts, figma, and most true scaled 6-inch lines. If you are looking for G.I. Joe-type of Battle Android Trooper, these might make for a good substitute.

You can pick him today at BigBadToyStore.

  1. Doyusha Katana
I ordered the black and the red one. Had i known the sword does not actually slide in to the sheath, I would have saved my money. They are also kind of flimsy. I actually got them for my Articulated Icons, which they are a little too small for. But they look very nice. Now I ordered some LED “Light Swords” by Modeling Support Goods to actually arm Carb and my Synths but haven’t assembled those yet. They are also 1:12 scale.

I had provided links but my post said pending, so if it reposts that’s why. All of this is available on amiami.

  3. I got so impatient for Carb I canceled my preorder at big bad and went with Amiami. Also grabbed som 1:12 scale weapons. Just about 5 minutes ago I saw that both my Amiami order and my Clear Synth preorder are out for delivery. Any one else interested in the Knights of the Slice NuSynth figures?

  4. Just placed my order at BBTS. Been wanting to get my damn dirty paws on one for a long time.

  5. These are dope. FWOOSH did you preorder the “Killy” figure from the 1000toys site? Looks like the hero we need to kill all the CARBs. Can’t wait for my Big Bad preorder to come through for my CARBs.
