Yes, Rogue One is right around the corner. Yes, there are a lot of official Star Wars figures coming out. But no, I didn’t hit eBay specifically looking for Star Wars customs. Today, they chose me.
I usually just type “Custom Action Figure” into the search bar and away I go. But today that search brought up random stuff with a lot of Star Wars being the highlight. So I just sat back and accepted my fate. The toy universe gave me a sign and who am I to argue with that?
I love the snow and ice build-up on this Cold Gear Arc Trooper with Taun-Taun.
I’m not sure if this is actually canon but it’s a nice thought out custom Death Trooper. The markings fit the theme of Rogue One, especially when compared to the various Shoretrooper ranks.
Speaking of the Shoretrooper ranks, here’s a custom Scarif Stormtrooper Captain custom. Hasbro has given us the Walmart exclusive grunt and the squad leader but not the captain. Yet. But when they do it will look exactly like this.
The thought of a Jedi Wampa frightens and intrigues me.
Who, me? Sneak a Deadpool in some form or fashion into eBay Frenzy? Again? I do like how the helmet on this Boba Fett /Wade Wilson mash-up was modified to give it that Deadpool one eye wider than the other look.
It always throws me when I see the Black Series Jango head repainted. The sculpt looks so good.
Here’s a figure I didn’t know I needed until I saw it. A 6 inch spirit Obi-Wan just makes so much sense. And makes me want potato chips. Some of you know why…
Not buying any 3.75 since about 2002, I didn’t know this armor type was a thing until I was hanging out in a toy warehouse last weekend and saw it on the peg. A week later I run across a custom 6 inch version on eBay. The toy gods have their ways.
This one is a longtime want of mine. Ever since the Outlander comic I’ve wanted an A’Sharad Hett. And a Ki-Adi-Mundi in a pointy hat, but I’ll take him any way I can get him. A’Sharad is one of my grail figures.
The Star Wars: Rebels figures we’ve been getting in the Black Series are all from Season 1 of the show but upgrading Kanan to his current look works great too.
This Clone Trooper Arc Trooper Commander needs no intro. Just fantastic work here.
And finally, this isn’t canon but it’s so awesome and eye-catching that I couldn’t leave it out. The eBayer calls it a Crimson Death Knights Legion but I call it Tron Trooper.
