Action Toys has announced a second set of figures for their Machine Robo line. Cement Robo, Blackbird Robo, Turbo Robo, and Space Robo all join the fray. But we Americans may know them by different names…
To us, they’re GoBots Block Head, Snoop, Turbo, and Spay-C. Not being a huge fan of the GoBots, these are getting more obscure. Well, except Turbo. The only one off the top of my head missing is Scooter, but that’s probably just me. Like I said before, I was a Transformers snob back in the day. It almost feels like Action Toys got all the main, well-known characters out in the first wave. I’m not used to seeing that in a toyline.
And don’t worry, Bike Robo (Cy-Kill) is still coming. You can also check out IBMMT’s review of Leader-1, Screwhead, and Tank.
05 Cement Robo (Block Head)
06 Blackbird Robo (Snoop)
07 Turbo Robo (Turbo)
08 Space Robo (Spay-C)
The weirdest thing about writing up Machine Robo articles, and this is definitely just me, is having to type my own online handle over and over. Not that I don’t talk to myself all the time.
* Crasher
The first wave missed out Crasher, Scooter and Fitor, which are the other really well known Gobots. Actually Fitor being missing from the early waves is a surprise as he and the drill guy were main characters in Revenge of Cronos. Also, Rock Lords!!
No but Crash should be on the docket. I’m certain it must be.
So much awesome. Turbo was the first GoBot I ever got, and his figure looks great. These are definitely not the ones I would have expected them to go for first, but still. These exist. Mind blown.
See, I had Turbo as a kid, so this one is calling me. Have they made the girl race car villain?
