5 Most Wanted DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Figures

DC-Legends-of-Tomorrow full team

Though it had some rookie season issues to work through, I came away from the first season of DC’s The Legends of Tomorrow looking forward to Season 2. Typically that tends to be the sweet spot season in terms of overall quality for the DC CW shows, so I’m hoping that trend continues. Until then, it’s time to start clamoring for some figures.

Legends occupies an odd space as it largely features characters from Arrow and The Flash, so in fairness some of these characters could appear in future waves of those respective lines. But since both are pretty far behind in terms of getting essential characters out, might as well let Legends pick up some of the slack.

DC Collectibles isn’t exactly the quickest in terms of getting these TV series-based lines out, so I had to be smart about this list. That meant while Sara in her White Canary gear is necessary, for now her Canary figure can serve as a stand-in so we can get more of the team together.

Rip Hunter

DC-Legends-of-Tomorrow- Rip HunterThe unofficial leader of the expedition through time, Rip pretty much has to be a Season 1 release. While he’s proven to be a fairly inept and single-minded commander, Rip has been there for his teammates when he’s needed most. The trick here is to make sure his trenchcoat doesn’t restrict his movements too much. Beyond that, give him his patented revolver and let him bark out orders from the Waverider pilot chair.

Vandal Savage

DC-Legends-of-Tomorrow- Vandal SavageThere’s no point in doing a Legends line without the season’s “big bad,” right? Although he wasn’t nearly as charismatic as Damien Darhk or dangerous as Zoom, Savage proved to be enough of a nuisance to keep our heroes busy all season. Savage didn’t necessarily have a go-to weapon, so he can come loaded down with knives and swords.

Firestorm

While I wish he were given his far more useful and unique comic book powers (especially on a team that already includes Heat Wave), Firestorm at least sports more of a traditional colorful comic book costume. Give him some flame blast accessories, and the team’s youngest/oldest member can go soaring into action.

Hawkgirl

DC-Legends-of-Tomorrow- hawkgirlAlthough she was in danger of approaching “Felicity” status on the show long before actually being a beloved supporting character, Kendra was a key figure in the series. Regardless of her character effectiveness on the show, Hawkgirl would make for a pretty sweet figure. Give her detachable wings so she can be in relaxed mode, and, if the line budget isn’t already too strained, an unmasked variant.

A.T.O.M.

DC-Legends-of-Tomorrow- AtomWhile he’s primarily used as the team’s weaker version of Iron Man, Ray Palmer is one of the core characters on the show. The fact that he had a prolonged story arc on Arrow also helps in terms of his figure’s desirability. Of the wave, ATOM will require the most work, thanks to his detailed suit/armor, yet I’m still going to be greedy enough to hope for an unmasked variant head and a shrunken-down version.

Those are my picks. Who would you like to see? I reviewed the entire first season of Legends of Tomorrow. Check those out here if you’re interested.
