The Marvel Legends team just wrapped up their Fan First Friday and here’s all the goodies they showed!
For cosmic figures coming to Walgreens, Nova gets more accessories along with Quasar joining in on the fun!
How they will be released wasn’t revealed but later in the year we’ll get Civil Warrior and AI Tony with alternate classic Iron Man helmet.
The upcoming MODOK will be able to store it’s accessories inside, Mr. Potato Head style.
For the main reveal, the rest of the Super Villains wave! We knew about Arcade, Dormammu, and AIM Scientist Supreme, now there’s THe Hood, Battle World Dr. Doom, Lady Deathstrike, and classic Red Skull, along with BAF Xemnu!
And then a hint for things to come…
There was a prototype around Winter Soldier with her in a grey suit and tie, there was a swap with Maria Hill head.
I want to believe it’s all in my head, but I actually think it got modified into the Cuckoos.

Nevermind, I think it was a false memory.
I was picturing an Agent 13/Sharon Carter but I think only a prototype got made.
Totally agree on the Reed Richard arms. It would be an easy swap, too, with that white sleeve creating an anchor.
And I’m completely blanking on the female suited body.
If they won’t do a dedicated sculpt (which maybe they don’t need to?) then:
dedicated head sculpts (three: stern with dark glasses and ponytail, blank with gray irises and ponytail and angry/battle damaged with mussed ponytail lol)
maybe the AOA Jean shoulders and arms
on a Medusa torso
with trimmed down classic Dazzler legs
and flat feet/low heels?
And of course (newly sculpted please) interchangeable hands with silver nail polish and extended claws.
Hmm. I think I have the ingredients for this. I may need to take a crack at it.
Extra arms, a la Reed Richards, more paint… yep.
I wouldn’t mind the X-2 version, but she is very plain, they would need to add some extras.
Would the Female suited bodies work you think?

I fear another Banshee getting made with only a screaming head.
Call me greedy, but I’d also like a smiling Banshee sculpt (with unlit pipe accessory).
Either Arcade hairs on Hoods face and body gets you classic Banshee.
Lady Deathstrike and Arcade for me.
I hoped she would be better, she is a new version of one of the worst figures ever made… she looks good and I need my Reavers.
But yeah… the others are fine, but not compelling.
If bots and scalpers weren’t making collecting so unpredictable I probably would have waited until the price dropped. Instead I’m trying to guess which one will be the scalper bait.
I forget where and who, but someone said something is just missing from Deathstrike, and I think it’s the ability to stretch her arms out to crazy flailing length.
Also, would very much like an X-2 Kelly Hu Deathstrike.
But not for $25 with no accessories.

the sword could be for the externals film. and love doctor dooms battle world look minus the spine he is holding. plus modok yes espicaly storage works like mr potatoe head does. and arcade and the hood nice never thought i would see the more civilian baddies
OK well that makes sense and that would’ve never occurred to me. I wonder if that’s a tease for an X of Swords wave then?
Just looked it up and the sword is Excalibur. It could be one of a dozen characters. A lot of people have had the sword in the comics.
Doesn’t anyone have any idea who that sword is teasing? My first thought was that it looks like the one Heimdall uses in the MCU but if I’m not mistaken they’ve already made one for the Professor Hulk wave. I’m thinking it could also possibly be for another Magik figure? Or MCU Black Knight for Eternals?
If those are three complete new sculpts then I gladly retract the criticism., I have to admit I assumed they were just reused except for Dormammu
Definitely not low appeal though, Arcade, Xemnu, comic Red Skull and especially Lady Deathstrike are all frequently requested in fan circles, or so it seemed to me anyway.
Yeah, the lack of yellow on Dormy’s mouth and eyes bugs me too. Kinda dampens my enthusiasm for this one a little bit. Still looks pretty cool though. Not too keen on the toothy Red Skull head either. I’ll stick with the more neutral head sculpt. It didn’t look “Kirby” enough for my tastes. The Hood is a waste of plastic. Thrilled to be getting a Xemnu figure. Wow…Xemnu…
Wasn’t Dormammu supposed to be Classic Dormammu? With the Yellow Ditko head? That ain’t it, folks…
The only ones I’m excited about are (Short Hair) Classic Arcade and Jumpsuit Red Skull, but I preordered everyone just in case I change my mind. Dormy’s head and The Hood are the two biggest duds for me here.
I don’t know that “low-effort” is the term I’d use. I can see maybe “low-appeal” — that you could make a subjective case for. I’d politely disagree but…again, it’d be subjective.
But I’d argue a wave with…I think three head to toe brand new sculpts? Red Skull and Deathstrike for sure but also I think Dormammu they mentioned at his reveal. And a significant amount of new tooling for Doom too. I don’t think we can justifiably use the term “low-effort” on this one. :-p
You get the sense Dwight is relieved to get a new version of the classic Iron Man back out there. I hope it’s just the lighting because otherwise the Red Skull looks so punchably dope.
Only Lady Deathstrike and Scientist Supreme for me.
I’m not really complaining but this seems like a very low-effort assortment by recent ML standards.
Is it just me, or is it strange the fire around dormammu’s head is the same color as the face? Isn’t it usually yellow so there’s a nice contrast and gives a floating head kind of a look? I was excited for that one but it just seems very off to me.

I am impressed this post is up so quickly. I am barely awake in the West.
Meanwhile, I am happy so many things are coming out, but I have only a fleeting interest in one- so my wallet can stay happier and fuller a little longer.
