I’ve probably thought this before, many times actually, but I’m realizing again that it’s hard to get an action shot out of an astromech. Bandai keeps the model kit line limping along with R4-M9!
And I don’t mean for that to sound like I’m upset about it. I love the droids, I really do. Gimme each and every one of them. I just can’t help but feel that Bandai Spirits is grabbing what little money left to be made with the molds they already have and shutting ‘er down. And I’d hate to see that happen.
Because there are so many more models to be made. I’m not going to list them cough/IG-88/cough but it could go on for years. When it comes to the mechanical or armored characters of Star Wars, this line has nailed them.
Then again, just look at that droidy little face. So cute. I’ll buy this kit and I’ll love it. And then we’ll go from there, where ever that may be. I’m acting like it’s definitely ending, when they could pop up over the summer and announce some new a different kit, and then I’d regret doubting them.
That’s a dare, Bandai. Make me regret doubting you. I double ding-dang dare you.
No hard info yet but it’s most likely set for summer, after R2-Q2 in July. MSRP is in the $20 range.
