More Star Wars action figure announcements!
For those familiar with the Variant Play Arts Kai line, you know what the deal is here. Stylized, very stylized. Larger scale. But taking that into consideration, this is a nice looking figure. With figures like the Bandai Movie Realization samurai-inspired Vader releasing now and the many, many six inch scaled movie accurate Dark Lords coming out, something like this that is it’s own spin on things is not a bad thing at all.
The figure comes with a whopping nine hands in all, one that is holding some kind of Force effect. Two lightsabers, one with a kick ass stylized blade while the other is more like we all know but by comparison is a bit plain. Finally, there is the standard stand.
No release date yet but the suggested retail is $100.
I second that challenge.

I have faith they can do it! Then we would need a Leia to mimic the iconic movie poster.
Mobile Suit Vader looks kinda menacing. But he’s an easy one to make look badass, since he started that way. You wanna wow me, Play Arts? Turn Luke in his farm boy outfit into something.
I really hope that’s true cause this guy is too cool to pass up. He would look badass just MOC, and I’m not a MOC collector.
I will say that over the past year, PAK has improved their Engineering & QC issues ten fold.
I picked up around 15 figures from them last year, and had two issues. One has a torso issues and the other was missing a shoulder pad. Fixed the torso, exchanged the other.
Awesome. Can’t wait to get this. Looking forward to more PAK SW Figures. Love that Lightsaber effect.
I read that this figures armor design was inspired by futuristic Japanese armor. I’d like to see a soft goods cape with wire inside included. Then maybe we could get soft goods robes?
I HATE PAK! Their quality sucks a big one and I always swear them off. Then they re-design a character so cool that it would be torture to pass up. That Vader looks so badass, I feel like handing over my lunch money to him, and he’s only plastic…

This is one of the few times when I find myself liking the Play Arts Kai style.
No fair! I am good with my two Black Series Vaders:1/12,1/18th.
However,this is just too strong with the force in awesomness! Which leads to the question;is this nine inch like the video game figures?
And what’s up with the scalloped Batman type cape?
