This week’s featured custom is Ibentmyman-Thing’s The Thing!
There have been quite a few figures of The Thing over the years and they have all been very good, if not exactly perfect for my favorite version of the character, so I can understand the motivation behind making this custom. This version looks pretty damn close to perfection though, and I admire all the original sculpting and work that went into making this monster. Check out the WIP shots by clicking one of the above pics for a link to IBMMT’s thread and see the extent of all the work he put in on this guy.
The orange on this figure is perfection. I’ve never seen a rock quite that color, but it’s perfect for the rocky hide of The Thing. Plus, he sculpted the head so that he can smoke a cigar! You have to like that.
