Leatherhead has gone through quite a change since we saw him last year. I think I prefer last year's less textured approach.

So I'm not seeing things.  Yeah I liked Leatherhead better last year.  That Foot Soldier (Elite I think) looks badass though.  I like the usage of the Turtles.  Last Ronin got the best stuff - I had a feeling the kid Turtles would come, they may not be for me, but look just like they should.

Robo and Veebs walkthrough:

Really good looks at the new stuff. That new Foot Elite looks awesome. Most of the new figures are pinless, including the turtle variants.

2024 Does seem to be The Year of the Texture...

Between the Mirage Leatherhead from NECA, the Rematered '88 Turtles from Playmates, and Even the Kickstarter Medieval Spawn from McFarlane Toys, that's a lot of bumpy plastic.

Looks like the SDCC exclusive two-pack started shipping today. I've had a label created for a few days, but it's now moving. Mine was shipping from IL via DHL and it looks like USPS must be handling last mile delivery for it.

Yeah, I've had the "arrived shipping partner facility, USPS awaiting item" scan since the 24th on mine.

Mine is in my town since yesterday, and the tracking even makes it look like it's at my apartment, but the status still says "In Transit," which worries/annoys me. Hopefully it'll be waiting for me when I get home, because I won't have time to look at it the rest of the week.

Though my birthday is the 9th, so I was actually kind of thinking about keeping it sealed until then, since I know I won't be getting any other presents from anyone else (everyone in my life who cares is too poor, and everyone who can more than afford it, doesn't give a shit).

My sketch set just arrived and the lenticular package is neat. I slid the cover off and found the head of the thinner turtle had popped off, though still lodged in place in the plastic tray. Just off the peg. If I was gonna keep it unopened, I’m not anymore thanks to that error. But I’ll likely keep the packaging if I want to put them away.

Tracking says mine was delivered an hour or so ago.

Still debating what to do, as I also just shipped my PoL from BBTS in the hopes it'll get here in time (I'm off all next week for "staycation," so it doesn't have to wait until the 9th lol).

My set of the sketch turtles arrived yesterday. Pretty solid. Fun packaging, great assortment of weapons, the alternate portraits make a lot of sense since they're basically the default expression the turtles would eventually embrace. Articulation is terrible, but I don't think anyone would look at these and expect that as the designs are very limiting. No quality control concerns though and the paint deco is fantastic. I love the heft of these, especially the Eastman design, and overall they just feel like a neat piece of TMNT history. There is a part of me that prefers the black and white variant that's to come, but I also like how these blend in with my Mirage collection so I think I would have ultimately sided with the colored version, if given the choice. All in all, a good SDCC item and I'm just thankful I didn't have to shell out $150 for another four-pack this year (especially considering we have retail four-packs coming this fall in the form of the Christmas turtles and the Archie set).

Mine did indeed arrive Tuesday.

And I have not yet opened them, but I also haven't spent much time at home since that didn't include sleeping & pooping, lol.

We'll see if I last a week....

(My PoL is still "processing" too, which worries me, because I definitely want that to show up next week...)

Found Rat King on a reset endcap at Target this evening. They had 4, plus Leatherhead & Mondo Gecko from the Archie Comics line.

Start checking those Targets!

I think Rat King is the next big want for me from the Mirage line.  I don’t need the Triceraton Gladiator.
