I can't wait for Karai Shredder.

This is my first time going to SDCC in about 20 years, and there aren't any exclusives I want. More for artist alley is definitely the bright side. 

I would love for them to keep putting out concept figures in this line.

I'm trying to convince myself I don't actually need multiples of these... I really, really don't.  One set for sure. At least.

They're probably gonna limit quantities, at least online, I'd think?

 

God, I hope so. People on Facebook are salivating over getting four sets, and man, if I (or someone else who only wants one, because "fairness" isn't just about me) can't get ONE because multiple others get FOUR, I'm going to be absolutely f***ing furious.

I'm already salty at some of them who got multiples of the Playmates Target Sketch Turtles while also simultaneously shaming me for being frustrated that I couldn't find a set...

@tenime I believe in past years NECA has set a limit of two sets per household and canceled orders on people who break that rule, so you *should* have a fair shot at getting one if you show up on time.

Also *FOUR* sets is futtbucking insane! Look, I know there’s four Turtles, but they don’t have to be four identical dipshits! Two big ones, two skinny ones: FOUR TURTLES! No one needs Four of each sculpt, that’s EIGHT FIRST TURTLES!!! That’s just madness!!! 

"Futtbucking" is still one of my favorite swear replacements ever. 🤣

Ugh, I love them.  WHY DID THEY HAVE TO BE CON EXCLUSIVE?

In the notes on his video Dan has it listed as NECA limiting people to four sets, so I guess have at it if you need four Eastman turtles and four Laird turtles. I wouldn't stress over it though as that could be an indication that they have made a whole bunch of them too. I'm trying to remember a TMNT exclusive that sold out ultra fast in recent memory and I think it's going all the way back to the original movie four-pack. Of course, the Coming Out of Our Shells homage set was a whole different ballgame because of COVID.

Can anyone identify the unannounced figures in the bottom row? The first one seems to be Shredder Karai, but I am at a loss about the two Turtle variants.

Veebs' interview with Trevor about SDCC exclusives is up.  Watching it now, we'll see if any tidbits come up.

I only bothered with Keno last year, but know the III set sold out at some point that first day - do you happen to know how fast that was? (And then because I managed to get Keno the first day, I didn't bother checking the rest of the period.)

Of course, it could all be moot, as this set could be infinitely more desirable than either of those sets were last year.

I've never tried for a TMNT SDCC exclusive.  A buddy got me the VHS movie set back then and that's it, so I don't know how quickly last year's sold out.  I just know I'll be overpaying for this set if I have to, unfortunately.

Well, not much news-wise in that video other than the (unfortunate for those of us who will struggle to snag just one) confirmation that they ARE allowing people to buy up to four sets online.
