I love Star Wars for the lightsabers and magic powers. I hate that Lucasfilm/Disney/whoever insists on setting everything in the same 30-year time period with the same 15 characters. Mando was exciting because it felt disconnected from the OT. It's one of the reasons Andor works so well. Tell me a captivating story about breaking down a fascist government without needing to shoehorn in Princess Leia or whoever.

This isn't the place for this. You're of course entitled to your opinion, but we have a whole board for movie and TV discussion. I can't speak for anyone else, but I always try to keep my posts relevant to the figures if it's a figures thread. Any time I brought up the show in here, it was in reference to the toys I hope get made. But because I'm also human, and a pedantic nerd posting on a toy forum, I will correct you on the use of "Glup Shitto" as that refers to a character unknown to all but hardcore fans making a return. Not the literal main character of the original trilogy that almost everyone has heard of.
So to bring it back to figures--for some reason, I really doubt that 4-LOM is ever seeing the light of day. I think we'll probably see a Sabine to go along with the upcoming Ahsoka. Mafex loves their Mandalorians and helmeted characters almost as much as SHF. And somewhere down the line, I could definitely see them updating their Bo-Katan to Mando Season 3 with the longer hair and mythosaur pauldron much like they released this upcoming season 2 Din Djarin.
You're both right, but I probably should have asked in the Movies section. I wasn't thinking at all.
Like it, don't love it. It's literally the only accurate version of this costume in this scale, but the head on the SHF is so much better. And I've already got the Hot Toys version of this costume, which kind of dulls the need for this one in this scale. Would've preferred seeing them tackle the BoBF look. With that said, I'm still gonna put in a pre-order for this!
I was planning to get this rather than the Figuarts, but I don't know about that head and those shoulders.

I guess that Luke was announced at a Medicom event overnight, and they also showed an unpainted prototype for 4-LOM, one of the bounty hunters in that scene from Empire Strikes Back that also features Dengar and IG-88. Weirdly deep pull for them to do a figure on that guy.
4-LOM originally appeared at Medicom Exhibition 2023 in July.
Not a weird pull since they can reuse C-3PO parts. And Medicom doesn't really show prototypes that they don't plan to release, although sometimes it takes a loooong time to get around to them. Unlike Bandai who just tosses half of their prototypes in a drawer and pulls them out when they need to fill display space at a con.

I agree about Mando, is one of the reasons I liked the first season back then. I love OT, even though a lot of Return Of The Jedi feels rushed, the final duel between Luke and his father is absolutely wonderful (I still don't understand what their plan was to free Han in the beginning 🙂) The prequels aren't as good and have a lot of problems, but just as many new, unusual things that expand the lore of the universe. Whether that's a good thing or bad, you decide for yourself. Disney era - only Rogue One and Andor for me. I hope they don't ruin the second season by adding more cameos (due to poor viewing). Vader and Krennic make sense to appear, but leave the others out.
As for the Mafex Luke figure. I like everything except the head sculpt. Honestly even some of the Hasbro faces look better. He doesn't look like Luke from Mando S2 (that face was too fat and round). More like Luke from Boba Fett or a combination of both. Anyway, if you need a "Jenerik Jedi Luke hero figure" it's the one to get. Put him next to your Mara Jade or something...

I support it. It's just not the type of storytelling I'm personally interested in.
Luke's appearance in the finale of Mando S2 wasn't a problem for me. It makes sense. He just didn't seem like a real person, it was an emotionless robot with his face. They should have hired a real actor who more or less resembles the character. They could have made an entire TV or animated series dedicated to his adventures after episode 6, instead, they started shoving him into Boba Fett show. I don't even want to think about the fact that Anakin is now a force ghost (or whatever that...thing was in Ahsoka) and there was no dialog between him and Luke about Palpatine being alive.
Anyway.
This what I really want from Medicom. You have this mold already
