OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
SHOW ME CATRA!!!!!
Edit: Holy bleeping bleep!! So excited!!!!
So, I saw Catra. She's.......fine. We need a fabric cape.....but fine. She exists!
....her Panther Form however....WTH? Why is it SO SMALL???
Catra's kitten form is not doing it for me at all. Which character is that larger cat supposed to represent though? He doesn't look familiar to me from the picture I saw but it wasn't a very good picture.
Rio Blast and Modulok are two BIG checks off the list. Catra is a good sign. Cartoon Ram Man is cool, and maybe could double in a Classics scale Filmation display. He's a glaring omission from that line (which I just swapped into my display, taking out the standard Classics figures). You'd think having Mattel make their cartoon line would scratch that itch, but the itch has only grown, as I've been backtracking on a bunch of holes in my Classics scale Filmation collection! I've been on an eBay binge to fill out my evil villains and it's been PRICEY.
No kidding. I totally agree with you, Justice. That teeny tiny panther form is so out of scale it's pointless 🙁
Catra, and we, deserve better.
In typical Mattel fashion the MOTU stuff is not available on Walmart.ca for Collector Con. What is the deal Mattel?
Anyway at least this time around the Horde Trooper Prime is a "timed" exclusive so I'll be able to snag him somewhere else later.
Love that Modulok and Rio Blast.
Saw video of the Mattel booth and what is most likely the Snake Lair (completely covered so no early peek). The only thing to take away is that it looks really big. Somewhere between Eternia and Castle Grayskull/Snake Mountain. It may just be other stuff making it look that big, but we'll see soon enough.
What I can tell from Preview Night photos:
Cartoon Ram-Man, Mantenna.
Origins Batros, Modulok, the Mantastic Rio Blast.
More Turtles of Grayskull, Clamp Champ, Snake Shredder, some bat creature I can’t identify.
My mistake, what I called Batros was Vultak, don’t want anyone to waste time looking for something that isn’t there. Someone who saw the display from afar said they thought it was Batros and my brain just locked onto that even after I saw better photos.
So as far as we know is this SDCC/Creations exclusive the only way Two-Bad will be available, or have they suggested there will be a stripped down retail release?
I'm not terribly familiar with She-Ra characters (other than maybe visually identifying them), so I just assumed the cat with Catra was an animal companion. Had no idea of any scaling issue.
Cartoon Ram-Man, Rio-Blast, and Modulok are purchases from me. Probably Demo-Man as well. And Catra. And Vultak. Dammit. Just when I thought I would phase this line out. Maybe just a few more.
TWO BAD SECURED
Sold out already! The last few exclusive figures hung around for a few hours at least. Guess the bulk of em are for on site purchases. Glad I got mine, hope everyone was able to snag it!
I was able to get Two Bad but man their captcha was a hot mess today. I was resigned to missing out on him.
I also forgot that Catra had a cat form and assumed it was a side kick. Hm. Still fun to see her in this line though!
My buddy was able to get one but I forgot all about him in the mad scramble of keeping tabs on my two girls in real life and a deluge of toy information online. Now he's gone. It's too bad.
There will be a single carded Origins release of Two Bad that will be more modeled after the vintage toy Two Bad. As far as a Cartoon Two Bad nothing has been said. But it wouldn't surprise me if a single Cartoon Two bad was released at some point. Just not announced as of now.
I was able to get Two Bad as well. Then, I pre ordered Cartoon Clawful and Spikor as well as Origins Vypor. Vypor is one of the coolest looking figures. I have really been enjoying all these extra Snake Men.
Missed out on Two-Bad due to life getting in the way. Will have to wait and see on a regular Origins release.
Man that Snake Lair looks great, but it is going to be huge!!! I hate to think what they are going to ask for it (especially for non-US buyers). Guess we'll find out on Aug. 12th.
