Which She-Ra are you referring too? The Origins She-Ra or a Cartoon Collection one?

If you mean the regular Origins figure, yeah, she's awful.

Β

So months ago someone mentioned that Bow and She-Ra were shown by Mattel at some trade show event where no one could take pictures. And also, Randor and Marlena. All for the Cartoon Collection.

Have we heard anything about this since? Can anyone else verify that this was said by someone? I feel like if it were true there would have been leaks by now.

@disneyboy I have heard absolutely nothing about Bow, She-Ra, Randor, or Marlena being shown or revealed in any way.Β  And the usual places that cover absolutely everything MOTU don't seem to be mentioning it. I feel like For Eternia or Toy Habits would have had this news.

I could see all of that happening at some point, and I even think She-Ra and Swiftwind are rumored due to them being on some package art.

I know Bow at one point was on a rumored leaked list for Masterverse, but I've heard nothing yet about Origins.

But like I said, I could see all of that happening at some point, as long as the line lasts/continues.

I want to say I heard Bow and She-Ra mentioned somewhere but I can't recall where.Β  Swift Wind is on the package art for that Skeletor vehicle, so that's pretty much a lock.

Have heard nothing about Randor or Marlena but I hope that happens.

I'd be a bit cautious about thinking anything is a slam dunk because it appeared on packaging art. There's still plenty of stuff on packaging art that we don't have, and plenty more that appeared on packaging art and then took forever to make it into plastic. No way of knowing if the stuff on the packaging art is on its way currently, a cheeky nod to something that may or may not be planned in the future, or even if it IS planned, if it's actually going to manage to get made before the line ends.
So... not trying to sound bleak or anything. Just manage expectations on that front. I don't think the packaging art really tells us very much.

Interesting, Camel. Yeah, this is why I was asking. One person online said they were shown in secret (this was months ago, maybe even on the Org?) and I kept waiting to hear the story circle back around and it never did, so I started wondering if it was a made-up rumor or something of substance.

She-Ra and Swiftwind on the packaging makes me very, very hopeful, but it'd be nice to know Bow and other are also waiting in the wings.

Think positively Damien! POPers need all the positivity we can get!

@disneyboyΒ  I'd love to be positive here but we have ONE POP-specific figure in the entire run of Origins, and it's -the- character of POP, so it's not like it's a deep cut that signals more are on the way. It seems there's intent when you look at the VAST quantity of Origins figures released so far, including a very close to complete vintage roster, without any legitimate POP characters.

I was really hoping Masterverse, at least, would give us some Netflix POP - seems like a good place for that version of the characters. But nope. Mattel seems to be allergic to making POP stuff these days.

I know you're not wrong, but I'm so tired of being depressed about it that I just want you to lie at this point.

Maybe if we all speak about POP in the Cartoon Collection like it's a certainty, we'll speak it into existence!

@disneyboyΒ  What I can do is say this: On the off-chance that someone from the Mattel team with decision-making power is actually ever reading this; I will buy Origins POP figures. Not going to lie and say I'll buy everything. I won't. I also didn't/won't buy everything MOTU Origins or Cartoon Collection Origins. But I'd buy a fair bit of it. There's some great designs in POP, and it adds greater variety to my Origins collection, which already looks so cool all set up together with the castles and vehicles and cats and such. Would be great to add Bow, Angela, Seahawk, Mermista, Catra, etc.

I don't think Mattel cares enough to do it. But if the thing holding them back is that they don't believe it'll sell -- It will sell TO ME. And that's all I can say about it.

I would be thrilled to get POP figures for Origins/Cartoon Collection.Β  Especially the likes of Catra, Bow, Glimmer, Frosta, Sweet Bee, Flutterina, and Entrapta.

Just some personal favorites.Β  Maybe a nice Madame Razz, Broom, Kowl, and Loo-Kee pack.

But like the good KnightDamien said, I don't think Mattel cares enough to do it.Β  And honestly, I wonder what even becomes of this line beyond 2024.Β  Maybe Mattel will continue giving us the remaining vintage collection figures on Mattel Creations.Β  But as far as the Cartoon line that took Origins place at retail, while I love it, doesn't seem to be selling out on any online retailers.Β  And I have never, not once seen any of them at retail.Β  Brick-and-mortar stores were already underwhelmed by Origins performance.Β  Thats why they wanted this cartoon line so Mattel could start over with heavy hitters like He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Beast Man, etc.

But if those aren't even getting put out, as valuable as retail space is, I have to wonder if the likes of Wal-Mart and Target will just no longer want an Origins/Cartoon Collection, and even Masterverse presence in their toy aisles.

But we will see, and I will always hope for things to continue.Β  Because hey, I love MOTU and POP πŸ™‚ .

If they had any intention of doing Princess of Power figures, they would have sprinkled them into the line more. They would have made She-ra more available.

🤣 Because I care about your happiness, I -also- hope it's just snakes. Solidarity!

@normdapitoΒ  Didn't they just re-issue She-Ra? If you wanted to be SUPER Captain Positivity, you could take that as a sign that they need She-Ra back out there to entice people to buy all the other POP characters they're making.

I mean.. that's definitely not what's happening. But you could IMAGINE that's what's happening.

All the fucking time with this forum dicking around with my font. I STILL have no goddamn clue why this happens at completely random times, or how to fix it.
