I have a PILE of MOTU loot waiting for me at BBTS that all arrived this week. I'm waiting on one figure (the Turtles mutated Ram-Man) who feels like he should be arriving any day since the rest of the wave already did. Knowing my luck I'll ship the current PoL and then he'll drop. I always have one straggler there. (Not a complaint about BBTS, love the PoL system they have set up, I just have bad luck with timing.)

@justice Maybe I should join that Discord. I actually followed Preternia on Bluesky and Threads too and he posts consistently everywhere, but it's those sites themselves that don't necessarily show his posts when I need them so I miss stuff. I ditched Twitter too for the same reason, and the one thing I miss about it was I had a flow for following action figure release news.

Cartoon Trap Jaw and Teela hit my PoL the other day.  Joining Masterverse Mekanek and Triclops (as well as other stuff).  Just waiting on NECA Elkhorn to hit (should be soon) and my massive PoL will ship.  I think there's about a dozen items in it.

I've seen people have been getting Rokkon in the mail.  But I haven't got mine yet, and I haven't received an e-mail that it has shipped.  On Mattel Creations, it says it has not been shipped.

Anyone else still in that boat?

I was really surprised to see people getting Rokkon in hand.  It said the day we ordered it that it wasn't expected until May.

Trap Jaw and Teela arrived from BBTS, and I’m a little less impressed with these than the previous figures.

Trap Jaw seems a little exaggerated in the face. He has a very long jaw and more shading than necessary above the eyes. Maybe I need to compare to the animation cels but he doesn’t look right. The jaw also doesn’t close at the teeth, he has an underbite that can hinge too far up, making him look like a fucking duck. He also only comes with two swappable limbs: laser gun and hook. No claw/clamp. He comes with some kind of rough, pointed gem.

So you know how these seem a bit larger than typical Origins figures standing squarely at 6”? Teela does NOT. She retains Origins proportions and seeing her next to He-Man and Man-At-Arms brings so much attention to it. She almost has the proportions of a child. Aside from that, it’s the best executed animated Teela I have. The face looks great, as does the rest of the figure. Nice and on model, just SMALL. Her eye level matches the top of He-Man’s shoulder. That is disappointing.

I was finally able to pick up a second Moss Man today.  I wanted to have an extra on hand since he is flocked, just in case anything happened to my other one.  Plus, now I can display him with both head options and maybe one with armor and one without.

I paid the insane $39.99 for my first Moss Man (the normal price).  But Wal-Mart today had him on clearance for $25.  Thats was much better.

FedEx is sitting on my Rokkon and the Don I bought yesterday sounds like he has a small rock rattling around inside.  I almost want to crack him open to see what's inside.  Occasionally I'll notice a figure with a rattle in the torso, but usually it sounds like a thin piece of plastic.  Whatever is inside Don sounds like it has some mass to it.

@normdapito All those Cartoon Collection figures look great together NORM.  Thanks for sharing the pic 🙂

I should get Trap jaw and Teela myself tomorrow from BBTS.  I'm even more excited now after seeing your pic.

I am not holding out much hope for the Collector Con figs being available in Canada.

Over the last couple years Walmart Canada has done a great job of actually getting the same product, at the same time, as the US Collector Con.

However last year none of the MOTU (actually most of Mattel's offering in general) were available to us.  I am going to hope that doesn't happen this year, but I am not holding my breath.  I would love to get a Terroar (not too fussed about Lord Grasp).

Plasmar and Strobo coming to Origins, confirmed by Axel Gimenez on IG. For those who don’t know, he does the artwork for the Origins cards and boxes. The method of release is unknown at this time.

Teela definitely is too short, but hopefully they correct this for She-Ra, if she is in fact coming.

Ah yes.. Strobo and.. that other guy. Just exactly the characters that people who supported this line since the beginning have been asking Mattel to hurry up and release. Wouldn't want the line to end without fucking Strobo and Plasmar (I had to scroll up twice to get that because the first time I literally forgot the name in the time it took to scroll back to the text box because WHO FUCKING CARES ABOUT PLASMAR, MATTEL?! Fuck.).

I mean... I quite like Plasmar -  I actually like him easily as much as I like Extendar - but that's because I didn't care at ALL about vintage Extendar even a little bit.

But, I am on board that Origins probably should have concentrated on delivering all of the vintage figures first before delving in to the obscure concept art inspired characters like Gr'asp and Plasmar and the rest.
