Well, I guess I missed out on Rokkon. Fun.
@jonaskane I can't believe I was able to get one.
From not being sure I could actually order one in Canada, to forgetting about it until almost 12:45 I lucked out and it was both still in stock and available to order in Canada.
I missed Rokkon, I was chaperoning my Art Honor Society kids on a field trip to MoMA. Worth it.
I got Rokkon today. I know he was at least still available at 12:05 EST. Does anyone know how long it took him to sell out?
I think a couple hours at least. I decided to pass on him but couldn't help but to keep checking to see if he was in stock. I guess I like to torture myself.
Well, at least I know I can surely pass on StoneDar.

What'd it cost you in CAD, all told? I don't care about Rokkon, but unfortunately this is going to be the reality for every remaining vintage character so I better be prepared.
Got Filmation Skeletor from BBTS today. Love him. He doesn't hold the Havoc Staff worth a shit, though. That was a bummer for my son -- everytime he moves the figure around the staff falls out, no matter which hand it's in. Still pretty fun, though. And my son is pretty stoked. He used to watch the Filmation cartoon with me while we played with Classics figures, way back when. So this is hitting him just the right way and now he wants me to get all the Filmation versions, despite the fact that we have a VERY large Origins collection as it is.
What madness have I wrought?
@theknightdamien Nothing wrong with another generation getting in on the collecting love (except for your wallets HAHA).
I paid $43Cdn for one Rokkon with shipping. ($30 + $13 shipping)
I am a bit worried though because they didn't charge me taxes at checkout so I don't know if I'll get dinged with any customs/duties/taxes when it ships. If this is something new with Mattel Creations it may make it untenable to keep buying from them in the future, especially for big items. I don't want to have to pay $XXXCdn only to get hit with higher shipping costs (already) and then customs/duties/taxes after the fact that I didn't account for, or being at the mercy of whatever fees the shipping company decides to apply.
I am hoping the cost of Rokkon is small enough to be ignored, but I won't hold my breath.

Definitely depends on the carrier, too. I get all my BBTS boxes via CanadaPost and I'd say it's typically half or fewer of my boxes get dinged with customs. However, ANY time someone sends me something via FedEX or UPS, I get nailed (plus their bullshit extortion fees on top of the customs charges). It's been so long since I ordered from MC (I think the last item I got was Masterverse Vykron) that I don't remember who they use for a carrier, or if you have carrier/shipping options.
Still, under 50 bucks in total really shouldn't raise any interest from customs, especially if they just write 'toy' on it.
That being said, an almost 50 dollar hit PER FIGURE is going to suck for those that really want to collect all the remaining figures. For some perspective, that's almost 700.... SEVEN HUNDRED... dollars to collect the remaining 16 figures if they actually do all get released and you want them all. As opposed to the 240 dollars it would have cost to get them at retail when the line first came out in Canada at the US prices. Fucking ludicrous. Like.. insultingly horrible of Mattel to be releasing these at an inflated price, one at a time.
I know we learned of it last year, but I hate that Terroar, Lord Gr'asp, and Necro Conda are Wal-Mart exclusives. I HATE Wal-Mart exclusives. It's like Wal-Mart gets exclusives offered to them, then can't be bothered to put them out on the shelves.
But on a more positive note, Cartoon/Filmation Evil Lyn, Startos, and Mer-Man look excellent.
I'd say they will go up for pre order during Mattels MOTU March announcements on the 21 and 22nd.
Oooh I saw Stratos and Merman, but missed Evil-Lyn!?
I'm totally skipping those WM figures. I actually hate how that Terroar came together. Just a hodgepodge of repainted parts.
I've come to love the Snakemen but that WM 2pk is hideous. Easy set to skip. Thankfully wasn't interested in Rokkon either, as I was too busy at work to worry about getting him anyway.
Are Gr'asp (or whatever the name is) and Terroar a 2-pack? I'm digging Gr'asp's color scheme and head enough to want him but Terroar looks pretty bad. If they're packed together they'll both be a skip unless there's a steep sale.
I will say, Walmart exclusives have been pretty easy to get online haven't they? I know I've been able to find everything I've ever looked for even by just casually checking here and there.
do you guys have a good website for finding pictures/previews/listings of upcoming Origins figures?
@vicious7171 If you follow Toy Habits on YouTube, they are constantly updating on their community page new reveals, new images, listings, when pre orders and events are, etc.
They have informative videos as well, but following their community stuff is a great resource.
Thats how I recently saw the image reveals on Terroar, Lord Grasp, Necro Conda, and the Filmation/Cartoon Stratos, Mer-Man, Evil Lyn, and Tri Klops.
Here is a link.
Like I said, when you're on their home page where it gives you the options for Home, Video, Shorts, Live, community, and store..... click community. They cover all MOTU lines. be it Origins, Masterverse, Mondo, etc.
