Rokkon is not dumb. He's no dumber than ANY other MotU character or concept. I didn't have him as a kid, so I have a little less attachment. 20 seems steep, but he got a lot of new tooling that really shouldn't even be reused for Stonedar. It really would be better if they offered multiple figures at a time, whether as part of a theme (both of the meteor men) or a wave of four or so figures. The slow drip, the one per shipping fee, that's the pain in the ass about this whole Mattel Creations situation.

If I could remove the rock bits and just have an orange and blue spaceman I'd probably grab him.  As it is I think I'm on the "pass" side of the fence.

I saw something online, and I don't see it officially confirmed yet, so this is just rumor.  But it says the Mattel Creations figures we will get this year are

Rokkon
Demo-Man
Sy-Klone
Extendar

and then Two Bad as a SDCC Exclusive.  First off, if Two Bad is a SDCC Exclusive, I hope he is as available as Masterverse Motherboard, and he's easy to get on Mattel Creations.  Second, I feel the SDCC exclusive should have been Demo Man.  Because I really feel like most everybody wants Two bad.  But again, maybe he'll be easy enough to get.

And like I said, I haven't seen this 100% confirmed.

I know those are figures alot of people are clamoring for from this Origins release schedule,  but I'm kind of hoping they continue to dip into some of the other concept characters that have crept into canon -  Vypor or Stretch Neck or Great Black Wizard ....  they cracked that door ajar with Lady Slither - push it open a little further, please

@panthercult If I remember correctly, we may get some of those Snake Men like Vypor or Stretch Neck as Fan Channel exclusives this year.  I seem to remember Mattel saying some of the Snake Men that are more random would be offered on Fan Channel sites last year when they revealed what would be on Mattel Creations.

Plus, I'm sure some Snake Men will be stretch goals for Lady Slithers crowdfund castle later this year.

But beyond them, like you said, Great Black Wizard and so many others would be great too. it seems last year they hinted at Reptilax coming in 2024.  He may have also been a Fan Channel possibility.  I would love to get Dare/Hero and Skeleteen.

When they made the new characters during Classics like Fang-Or, Great Black Wizard, and Bubbl-Or or whatever it was, what was the Barbarian guys name?  Was it like Hans Hammer Holder lol.  That may be WAY off.  But I thought that guy was awesome.

Hans Hammerholder was a character created by Axel Jimenez who was designed to share parts with Ram Man and he was awesome.

Axel did awesome designs for so many of those guys in classics including Vypor, Stretchnek, etc.    Bubblor, though, was a fan created character submitted for the create a character contest.

The Rokkon drop got pushed to the 21st, supposedly to fix international order issues.

Just FYI.

@mikeysee Yeah Mega Jay Retro posted about that.   Apparently the date was changed and the site was saying no international orders.

I imagine they couldn't fix it in time and they don't want another Jurassic Park debacle on their hands.  (No international orders until 5,000US backers  SMART!!)

At least that is what I am hoping because if they keep the idea of no international orders until a certain number of orders, they can keep the rest of their releases and I'll spend elsewhere.

The delay worked for me because I didn't think about him until 10pm that night.

I got filmation Skeletor and MAA yesterday.  Skeleletor's blister fell right off the card as I was pulling him from the bbts box.  Afterwards, I checked out Robo's review and he had a not so attached MAA card.

I wonder if Mattel Creations plan to make Granita the female Rock Warrior as well

I got my Eternia.  Holy dang.  Now I know what kids receiving a Flagg felt like.  I knew it was going to be big but it somehow still exceeded my expectations.  Fedex delivered it right after a snowstorm and our porch and house number were covered in snow.  I apologized to the guy because I hadn't had a chance to shovel the walkway yet and he said "yeah we usually wouldn't come out in this but I saw it was a toy and didn't want to keep the kids waiting."

Ope.

Anyway, the shipper is a little beat and after watching Pixel Dan's review/unboxing I am pretty confident the box is probably creased if not dented pretty good in a couple places.  I'd open it to check but according to Dan the toy box itself isn't even taped.  Is that right?  That seems pretty nuts for any toy, let alone a $650 collector piece.  At that point the only way to claim a sealed toy is to keep it in the shipper.

@jag2045 You know, I'd say as long as they keep making Origins figures, she's probably a character they'll get to on either Mattel Creations, as a Wal-Mart exclusive, or as a Fan Channel item.

But it still may be a couple years, and that's if they are still making MOTU Origins figures by then.  I really don't think she will happen in 2024, but maybe 2025 or 2026.

I'm just gonna throw this out there, but I'd say you have a 64% chance of Granita.

It sounds like for SDCC we are getting two Origins exclusives.  1.) A Cartoon/Filmation She-Ra.

And 2.) A Tuvar and Baddrah Two Pack with pieces and parts to combine them into Two Bad.

The Tuvar and Baddrah two pack probably means that just a regular Two Bad will get a regular release on Mattel Creations like Rokkon.

Refresh my memory, are Mattel's SDCC exclusives something that can be purchased online during or after the con, like Hasbro's, or are you screwed if you can't go?

@justice  You can get them on Mattel Creations at some point after SDCC.

They usually aren't too hard to get either.
