I haven't opened my Snake Mountain yet. Didn't even crack open the sealed brown box. I really should, just to check QC and make sure everything is there. I shipped on 9/12, so I must be past BBTS' return window if there was a problem.
I'm pretty much losing hope of ever seeing Snake Mountain locally. I really don't want to pay shipping and exchange rate on it to get one from the States. But when I look around Canadian Walmarts and TRUs, I don't even know where they would put something that big. Not to mention that Walmart seems to have deleted MOTU product from their shelves entirely, and TRUs have moved them to a smaller area. Sucks. I really wanted to just stumble on this thing in the wild like I did Grayskull.
I've had zero luck finding any Snake Mountains locally here in the Los Angeles area. I'm hoping they just haven't really hit the stores yet. I'm looking to find one locally because I actually do want a nice displayable art-box and was hoping to pick the best out of a few at least.
Yeah Canada is a wasteland for Snake Mountain.
I'm in the same boat of hoping that they are still trickling out and we will see a lot of stock somewhere down the road, hopefully by, or after, Black Friday.

….except, aren’t there four turtles? I seem to remember an orange one, told jokes…
Interesting.... I don't love all of the designs and mashups but there are a few I'll definitely pick up. Krang and Beast Man for sure. Maybe Shredder. And possibly Moss Man. Oh and Ram Man Raphael looks great... might be hard to skip that fella.
If they don’t find a way to make some form of FOOT that you can army build, that will be a huge opportunity missed.
I donno, now that I've seen what's in store, I'm actually less excited about it. It's getting easier to pass on this.
Can I ask why? These are about what I expected when this crossover was announced, the only thing that came as somewhat of a surprise was that a lot of the He-Man affiliated characters would be mutated, by the ooze presumably. Personally, I would have just preferred a line of TMNT figures using the Origins molds without the combination of both halves of the crossover mixing together, but overall I think these have turned out very well, especially characters like Shredder who I could see wearing that regardless of this mashup.
I'm just not feeling the mash up. I'm not sure what I was expecting, maybe more along the lines of the TMNT/MMPR crossover, where the Turtles were dressed as Power Rangers? I know it's not particularly creative, that was practically cosplay. This is more creative, in some figure examples, and it's also pretty predictable and recognizable, neither of which is that bad a thing. Maybe it's just fatigue. I've collected nearly every iteration of both TMNT and MotU over the past ten years. I think I may already have my fix. I'm very satisfied with what has already come. I just got Filmation Beast Man and He-Man, and I'm excited to continue that line. I also just started the Loyal Subjects IDW line. Do I really need to get into yet another line?
I feel like this mashup is just a bit of a double-edged sword. The Turtles dressing like they fit into the MOTU lends itself to some creative designs. But what do you do with the MOTU characters? Seems like they're giving some samurai elements (ninjas...samurai). And then there's the ooze mutations. Guess they couldn't make them green (like TMNT ooze normally is), since they'd be too similar to Slime Pit variations. Maybe if they were MOTU and TMNT characters merged together? Like Rocksteady and Ram-Man merged together? Still, I do like what they did with Ram-Man.
With Michaelangelo being absent, I can only assume there are more than 12 figures planned. Seems odd not to include him from the get-go.
All said, I like all of them to some extent except for He-Man himself. Not sure what they could have done with him mutation-wise to make him more interesting. Are his arms bulkier than normal? They look like they could have been bigger.
The Turtles of Grayskull promo art showed five characters that aren't here yet (Mikey, Casey, Splinter, Teela, and Hordak) but also did not show Slash or Mossman. There's definitely more in the pipeline. I'm hoping for Fisto, Karai, Evil-Lyn, and April in addition to those five, but seeing MOTU characters more specifically having elements of TMNT characters would be great.
Man, in these promo pics today, Mutated He-Man is NOT translucent purple plastic. That was my favorite figure of the bunch, and the translucent plastic was a big reason why. I wonder if that means all the other figures they've shown as translucent that are mutated, like Moss Man and Ram Man, will in fact not be.
I want translucent plastic damn it!
Oooh hohoho... yep. I love these. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about the shells being removable so you can use them as shields. I can't imagine ever actually wanting to do that (although it's a clever feature), so I just hope the shells are stable enough to play with the figures without the shells just falling off all the time.
But damn that Shredder looks so awesome. They all look really, really cool. I'm surprised that it looks like they really did make all new bigger arms for He-Man. I'm guessing using purple for the mutation color is supposed to be a reference to Super Shredder in SOTO.
I legitimately and unironically love it all and can't wait for these to start coming out.
