Yeah,   I love Loose Collector's work and I'm sure these will be well constructed but there's simply no way I'm shelling out $75 each for "he's totally not Cable - he's CabOT"  and  crazy clown Cable (the name Lobot was sadly already taken).

I would buy figures from Youngblood for nostalgia's sake,  but the rest of the Extreme Universe just all seem like blurry traces of existing characters and I have no connection to them at all.     Even so,  if the price tag were more reasonable,  say $40 each -  I still might pick them up just for fun.    But I definitely can't consider it at this price point.

Set your expectations way, way lower for the final paint apps. LC prototypes are painted gorgeously, but that doesn't follow through with production.

Are those really ball joint hips or does the thigh muscle articulation make it look that way?

Damn. I just can't hang with Loose Collector at these prices. They are very nice figures, but I can't justify that investment for lines that are tertiary, at best, for me.

I will admire from afar...

I wonder who approached who on this one?  It just seems like an odd paring, especially from Loose Collector’s side.  Maybe if LC was doing more volume, in terms of both the number of figures being released and the size of the production runs, and at more competitive prices, it might make more sense to me.

I could see myself picking up Supreme, since I was a big fan of the Alan Moore version of the character, but that's about it.

From the pic I've seen that I can't find to link, the LC guy looks to be the age he would have been a kid in the 90s to have been suckered in by Image comics; so my gut tells me these are a passion project for him.

Didn't they say these were gonna be "affordable"? At least it's got better accessories than the rest of the LC offerings, I guess.

I thought I heard that too. Was this a lie, or just a case of Liefeld being too wealthy to understand what “affordable” means for a non-custom action figure?

General consensus is these are too expensive. Shame. I could see myself paying $75 for Supreme or Badrock or Diehard or Chapel or Shaft or Prophet or maybe even that Batman looking dude or the guy with the tiny skull in his forehead from Brigade.

But Bloodwulf couldn’t even break my list of top 500 1990’s comic book characters, so this is too rich for my blood. If Grendel was too expensive at $70, why would I pay $5 more for this weirdo?

Only reason I would support this is if something I’m interested in is down the pipeline. If they’re just going to keep feeding us the background characters from the extreme catalogue, I cant support this at the cost of three Marvel Legends or Jada Street Fighter figures per purchase.

This guy on the right is 100% an Image fan from age 7, lol:

I'm pumped and all in for these. I knew this place would react this way of course, but it's a passion project for me too. I loved the energy of Liefeld in the 90s and that's what gets me in. I didn't read these comics either, but had Youngblood and nothing else is quite like it, love or hate. What do I have to get excited for?? We get a 50% accurate Cable from 6 years ago then this new one (which is awesome). Loose Collector unapologetically made these Extreme and i am thrilled to get them. It's 4x as impressive as other things so I am alright with the price although it's higher than I wanted too.

I think it's for those of us who were probably in that 12-16 age range then and are starved for this. LC did try to keep prices down but they're huge and are loaded with gear. It's less than Mafex and like I said, loaded.

"Character selection" blah blah blah, I want something capturing the bonkers designs of the day and these do that. BTW Prophet will be in the next wave if these do well so there is a pipeline! And I could see a way to do Crypt. Other characters like Battlestone and Deadlock are basically Diehard and Shaft like. I think people could scratch that itch.

Also 5ktoys have them at $65 with $10 down now so if that makes a difference there you go! I am a cheerleader for this and want it and all LC stuff to succeed. I wish the knee-jerk reaction wasn't always price price price. These are better than a wave of most toylines imo

All I know is that this Image stuff best not prevent further Grendel characters from getting made.

Every offering is the sweet spot for someone.   I'm glad you're happy Ditko -  and I honestly hope these do well enough for Loose Collector not to lose his shirt doing them.

I'm much more interested in the indie characters he's been doing like the Rocketeer and Grendel and would prefer he was concentrating on those, instead.

I'm of the slightly older generation who was finishing high school when Image launched and while I was on board early I lost interest fast.   So the only Extreme Universe characters I know are no longer owned by Rob, so the figures he has access to for this line are the ones that mean nothing to me.

But I like Loose Collector,  so for his sake I hope there's enough 90's kids that are stoked for these to make it work.

I get it 100% I actually have Grendel pre-ordered too. Liefeld wasn't even my main guy as a kid at all, Lee and Wildstorm but I loved Cable and eventually found the Extreme stuff bonkers. Then LCBH died so this has been an absolute vendetta for me.

Most of my collecting has been Transformers so am used to toy expenses. I think LC can expand and handle it all, we have choices to make. I see a very exciting albeit short term future with this line here. 6 figures would be awesome and beyond is gravy.

Personally I found McFarlane very easy to drop after 2023 so I can make up budget there

Has anyone called Bloodwulf "Juggalobo" yet? Am I too late?
