Thor So Excited Yes GIF | GIFDB.com

And that's basically what he was in the comics. Just a criminal who happened upon some Osborne goodies, changed the color and became a high level enforcer. And they could play up the identity mystery too, something they didn't bother with in the Raimi movie with Norman.

It's really hard to not get that figure as it's one of my absolute favorite comic adaptations of one of my favorite comic characters.

I feel the same way. I was ready to jump in and grab it alongside the new Kingpin even though I'm not typically a Legends collector, but gosh, I don't think either of the figures looks very good and now I'm just sad. Kingpin's facial expression makes it look like he's about to break into tears and even if I excused Matt's likeness, those glasses look ridiculous. Hopefully we get some better stuff for Daredevil: Born Again.

The only other villain I absolutely need to appear on screen and get a figure is Hobgoblin, who was a big deal when I started reading ASM. No, not Ned and Ned wasn't really Hobgoblin in the comics anyway. I really would prefer tying in with The Rose and Fisk with Hobgoblin as a mob enforcer. Could be the big screen debut of Black Cat and guest star Daredevil as well.

You have some good ideas. I'd love to see the MCU Spider-Man become more street level after NWH "reset" him. Hobgoblin would be a great choice for the antagonist—still a physical threat to Spidey, but operating in a different world than most supervillains. Tying it into Daredevil would be the cherry on top.

Speaking of the "reset" MCU Spidey, I was really digging the final swing figure at first, but whatever they did to the web pattern on the chest looks really weird. The mask isn't great either. Now I'm sort of on the fence about it.

Hate that I'm only saying negative stuff, though, so I'll go ahead and say that the new Green Goblin and Amazing Spider-Man are probably some of the best Legends yet and they're pretty tempting to me even though I don't usually do 6".

I wonder if we will all be going through this again in a couple years with a Deadpool 3 wave 2? That movie is gonna be just as spoiler heavy so I can see Hasbro waiting on making certain characters fans will want. Atleast (I assume) most of those characters will be old Fox characters which I'd hope likeness rights will easier to navigate.

I say this because it's pretty surreal to be sitting here in 2023 and pre-ordering Riami's Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Tobey's Spidey, a Charlie Cox Daredevil and a Andrew Garfield Spidey as well. All in one wave. So if Deadpool 3 brings in more pre-MCU characters it's gonna be pretty cool to see what figures that film gets us. I love that I'm in the prime of my collecting as nostalgia sales like hot cakes because there's a lot of content from my childhood I'm seeing show up in figure form these days. Little me would be blown away.

I noticed that MJ is the exact same figure as before just repainted with a sweater overlay and new arms and head. Which is fine because it's pretty accurate.

Electro seems like he's locked in for a future release. Now we just gotta hope Kraven gets the Venom treatment and receives a figure so I can have the MCU version of the OG Sinister Six. Throw Aunt May in with Queen Romanda and Darcy as my figures I'm never gonna stop rooting for.

Been seeing a few people online say that Sandman looks like a chicken tender, and now I can't get it out of my head. 🤣  I hope they release a painted Flint Marko one day. Could keep the sand hands and maybe give us an extra effect or 2, and paint that iconic green shirt.

I didn’t see that these had already gone up for PO. I scored all but Holland, but I’m sure it will pop up again. Nice to see these officially. Can’t wait for Octavius and Osborne. Goblin looks like one of the best MCU figures EVER.

The probable answer is it likely depends on box office and such. MoM made over 900 mil, and were getting Wanda, but not a 2nd wave as of now. I would love this 2nd wave thing to become common practice, but as of now I am seeing this as an exception until proven otherwise. Though this idea is unlikely, I would love for them every few years to do a D+ style wave that fills holes from other movies that are not getting 2nd waves. But I doubt it happens and more likely they just do occasional exclusives and maybe a future annual program for the Multiverse Saga like they did before

Thank you! If I had my druthers, it would be a miniseries. Add in Bullseye and a lot of Spider-Man's strictly-street level hoodlums.

Honestly... I have absolutely no plans to even see Kraven, but I'm hoping for the same exact thing. If I have the other five, and I'm putting those five together on the shelf, then I absolutely need Kraven as well.

And yeah, I imagine you're right about DP3. Spoiler heavy and seemingly chockfull of "but we need these figures" characters that I can't imagine will get into the 'first' wave.

Even despite box office, I would love second waves just because some movies have a cast that really deserves another wave. MOM is a great example as I can't imagine a wave of the illuminati doing poorly. The rest of the illuminati with Wanda and zombie Strange, build a chair or build an arm cape.

And I know I'm beating that dead horse too, but I'll always echo the idea of a Disney Plus style wave to fill holes. I need my holes filled and I'll never stop mentioning it! But having an annual Saga series would do it.

@ru1977 I am all for any 2nd waves they wanna do lol. I don't have much faith MoM is getting a 2nd wave, but I would absolutely welcome it.

Garfield is also notorious for being a little bitch about his likeness, it's probably the same with Molina and they did some gymnastics by branding as older movies where the rights would be cheaper.

I was guessing that too, but how does it work?  Is the sculpt supposed to reflect Alfred Molina twenty years younger, and the Garfield head is ten years younger?  Their face is their face for the most part, so I don't get how they get around trademark infringement by just saying "it's Andrew from ASM2" or "it's Alfred from SM2."  🤔

I was initially excited for the Green Goblin figure from the leaked images, but the price tag on him is enough to kill my interest. The Spider-Men are still kind of tempting, but I'd most likely just keep them on-card, and I'm not sure they're worth twenty-five bucks a piece to me. With Garfield's packaging needing to be AS2 labeling for legal reasons, I kind of wish they had done something similar for Maguire's card.

Normally I'm really cheap and chase deals etc but I'm getting tired of that and settling into just ordering something and leaving it alone until it ships to me. I've also cut down a lot on what I'm putting on the shelf so I've gotten better at accepting what things are costing, and this is one of those instances where a figure is EXACTLY what I wanted so... I'm paying what it costs. And I'll probably see it on sale eventually, maybe $5-10 cheaper but oh well. I'm at a point where I just want the awesome figure without hassle. That said, I totally get the price being too high.

@e-rock Yeah, I will be shocked if MOM gets another wave now, but I will also be surprised if they never do more characters from it eventually. It could be our only shot at an MCU Black Bolt!

Green Goblin looks outstanding! What an impressive figure. I love getting that great unmasked head sculpt as well as the helmet. The glider looks awesome.

Doc Ock looks great!

Not sure if I will get anything from the wave itself. I already have that three pack from before.

Goblin and Ock were by far the most impressive reveals yesterday.  But we don't know yet what we're missing.  Can Ock really balance on two legs like one of the promo slides showed?  I'm skeptical given that the animated Ock can barely stand on four legs without 1 to 5 minutes of finagling his weight around.  How much do the tentacle claws articulate?  Looks like quite a bit, but maybe they're more limited than we can tell.

I was ultimately disappointed in the animated Ock tentacles, so I'm bracing to be disappointed in these, too.  😣  Goblin looks like pure win though.

Gotta say, glad SOMEONE understands that Hobby isn't Ned. It's actually very annoying how many people, including NWH itself ("I promise I won't turn evil" scene and the concept art of him on the glider), think he was Hobgoblin. My boy Ned is innocent, gimme Roderick with someone like Jackie Earle Haley in the role. Also, it works even less than in the comics since MCU Ned is literally just Ganke.

OK, rant over.

Sandman definitely needs a wash or two to get the right look. All things considered, I'm just glad there's a unique sculpt and not a blank body with a few "gritty" paint applications here and there to imply sand. The great texture is gonna make fixing it up much easier. I wonder if the Deluxes are gonna be out in time for Christmas while the wave is more January or if that Jan 1st date is a placeholder and they shot long. It bodes well that the pictures are of actual figures and not renders, Final Swing even has messed up paint applications on his mask so I'd assume they're further along than Jan 1st would imply. Hopefully they land in time for Christmas with the Deluxes either right alongside them or a little sooner. The Goblin leak would imply he's ready to go right? That was definitely a production piece and with a damaged box no less, could he (and maybe Ock) be a "buy it now" kinda deal come next week?
