Also got bump updates for some but not all from both Pulse and Amazon. Amazon’s bump from 1/3 to 12/26 seems like nothing, and Pulse is still ambiguous with "shipping soon".

Count me among those who got the "12/26" date from Amazon, and a "processing soon" from BBTS for Beyonder.

Got another “shipping soon or change of shipping date” notification from Pulse concerning Secret Wars Wolverine. Pulse is now “regrettably” informing me that the shipping date has changed again and that the figure is now shipping on November 20, 2024. Wut??

If Marvel Legends comes out with a Secret Wars wave two, it should include a standard sized Absorbing Man, purple pants and all.

Just adding my name to the list of "shipping on 11/20" from Pulse for Wolverine - I mean, if he ships today, I'm not complaining but I'll believe it when I see it.

Pulse sent three emails for Cap this afternoon to ship on 11/20.  They stopped sending emails to me for my recent shipments,  now they're flooding my in box.

I got the emails for Cap and Iron Man shipping today. I already picked up Beyonder and Titania at Target so I had cancelled those. Didn't pre-order Spidey or Wolvie.

So can we use the DPCI number on the remodeled Popfindr site?

No.  About three years ago Target switched their web interface to only work by looking up with TCIN.  Since then they've additionally become terrible about keeping their internal inventory system that uses DPCI in sync with their external web system that uses TCIN, so you'll never find many figures on Popfindr even with a TCIN.

In my experience their internal store scanners for customers use the external web-based system, not the internal one that the employees themselves use.  That seems counterintuitive to me since you're in the store and you'd think those scanners would use the same store system that the employee devices use, but nope.  Several times I have scanned something that's clearly in the store, but it isn't found on those in-store scanners.  In those cases I also couldn't find the item by searching for it on their web site, and that's why I assume the in-store scanners use the external system, not the internal one.

Okay this right here feels like the major culprit as to why Target lost over $11b in revenue last year. Forget all of the shoplifting that was purported. Its the scarcity of items and the fact that we have this "blind leading the blind" scenario with their inventory and computer systems. That is gross negligence at best, bordering on maleficence tbh..I mean who is this actually helping in the long run??? Who forces their customers to enter some kind of rat race just so they can purchase an item at their store or on their website?? All this does is make companies like Amazon look better while Target winds up looking like the next K-Mart or Sears because they couldn't keep up with their competition

While I agree with your sentiment the harsh reality is that none of the other mass physical retailers do any better.  Walmart used to do OK, but now they do about as bad with these inventory control issues as Target--probably a bit worse actually.  Gamestop is pretty bad with that level of inventory control as well.  Amazon doesn't have this issue because they don't have physical stores.

The best I've seen any of them do is Target circa 2021 and earlier.  Something happened in mid to late 2022 at Target, and since then they've been awful at everything related to inventory management.  My guess is that there was some sort of management change at Target corporate, and the current leadership has semi-given up on tight inventory management controls.  They've got all the systems in place; they just don't use them well with increasing frequency since 2022.

That's some full blown malfeasance.

@enforcer You’re absolutely right. I’ll tender my resignation from Target’s loss prevention team effective immediately.
