And we're back! Starting where we left off.

Day #645 - Wesley Snipes Blade update

The post on the day of the blip was the Blade we saw at SDCC many years ago - in the black and red trench coat plus Wesley Snipes Blade. I did actually make the post, but I doubt anybody saw it since the blip happened soon after. Since were actually getting Blade with the black and red trench, here's Snipes Blade to discuss!

PLUS

One A Day Archive - Atlas, the character that started this whole thing off!! I thought it would be fun to re-open discussion on the past OAD entries. Eric Josten's other identities were on another day, but I'm gonna include them all here: Power Man, Goliath and Atlas.

Special note - I won't be using as many pictures as I did before. I'll be adding the iconic looks, but maybe not all of the other looks, like a similar costume but the gloves are a different color. As always, feel free to add your favorite costume if I didn't.

Another issue - since we don't have PM capabilities, I can't reach out to anybody for their Guest Star choices, which is a huge bummer because Guest Star Days were my absolute favorites. I still have a handful left from before the blip.

Welcome back!

Absolutely in for a Snipes Blade - he's one I'd really like to see with additional characters from his movies too, and really a whole wave could be done around him plus 3 allies and 3 prominent villains.

I don't know much about Atlas but wouldn't this be a good baf for a dedicated Thunderbolts wave to fill in gaps in the roster?

I'm in for every version of Josten. Movie Blade is so similar to comic Blade at this point that I don't know I'd get another one.

Yeah that sucks about losing allllll that, but I'm glad you came back to it.

I don't know if you have an email address you're comfortable posting, but maybe that a way people could submit suggestions to you? Revisiting the ton of characters already posted is a great idea though. See how many are still outstanding and how many have been crossed off.

Was hoping this thread would come back.

Not really interested in looking backward by revisiting Snipes Blade. Would prefer a Mahershala Ali version, should that project come to fruition amid the strikes.

Would take Josten as Atlas. Whichever is his most iconic Thunderbolts outfit to go with the Songbird, Mach 1, Citizen V we got already.

Yes to Wesley Snipes Blade.  The only reason I'm buying this upcoming Blade is because of how close it is to a Wesley Snipes Blade.  Just wish it came with a stoic head portrait as well.

The vast majority of my Marvel Legends collection are comic book figures, but I would absolutely be in for a new Snipes Blade figure. Especially with how good some of their face sculpts/prints have looked in recent years. I'd also love to see a new 1/6th scale figure of him made. The old one doesn't look bad, but it can be kind of pricey to get ahold of.

Because YOU demanded it!
The triumphant return of One-A-Day!
In the Brobdingnagian Beamish Behavior!

Like many of Marvel's most memorable covers, sometimes the interior content couldn't match the excitement generated. Alas, I can't say I care enough about Blade to be interested in a new Snipes version. Atlas is a possibility once we get a few other big guys made.

Happy to have this back, the prior thread was a great source of info, introducing me to some newer characters and reminding me of old ones I had forgotten about ... thanks Beamish!

Excellent!  Glad you brought this back Beamish.  Bummer about the guest star option being lost.  Those were fun!

Not really interested in a Snipes Blade.

Would definitely pick up a Josten Power Man to square off against Luke Cage.  I had a comic book as a kid where they battled it out.  Great stuff!

Yay!! So glad this thread is back!!

I’d absolutely be down for Wesley Snipes as Blade!  If I could choose the look, I’d definitely go with Blade 2, trench coat and shades on.

And for sure Eric Josten in all various and sundry looks.

Love that you brought this thread back, Beamish!

Yes to Snipes Blade!

And yes to Goliath and Atlas! Both are necessary for Masters of Evil and Thunderbolts, respectively.

No thanks on Snipes Blade

Josten I would take Masters of Evil and the earlier Thunderbolts look with some blue in it.
