Would love to see Titania, Volcana and armored Beyonder, but I'm assuming we're more likely to see the jumpsuit version since Hasbro has more ready-to-use tooling for that figure.
I would love if they did one of their retro lines on classic Secret Wars card backs - it would be a ton of fun.
But can we not pretend that such a wave would be mostly women - Wasp, Rogue, Titania and Volcana, though all needed in my collection would never swamp a nostalgia wave like this.
We would definitely get Wolverine maybe with black claws as a nod to the original toy, Captain America, Iron Man, a re-release of Dr. Doom from the recent 2-pack with an unmasked head, maybe a new version of Falcon's classic costume and then maybe short-hair Rogue or a Wasp.
That's what we'd most likely get and I think pining for them to include those long wanted females who debuted in the comic series may just lead to disappointment.
It doesn't hurt to pine a little. Who knows maybe Hasbro will throw us a bone. I still want them all.
Maybe as a 5 piece box set? Amazon seems to like a name as the main character - none in this group but then again they did Alpha Flight.
2024 is the 40th anniversary of Secret Wars - both the maxi-series and the Mattel toy line.
Do you think Hasbro will celebrate this as one of their anniversary offerings?
If so, what do you speculate the products will be? Retro wave? BAF wave? 2-packs? Multi-packs? Single card recreations of the Mattel packaging?
At the very least, I hope we get:
Titania
Volcana
Wasp
Rogue
Beyonder - armor and/or jumpsuit
Falcon update - I think we'll get classic Falcon, but as a tie-in to the new Cap movie
Constrictor update
Is a potential modern Kang with the gun Dwight teased headed for the rumored Secret Wars wave?
Will the other characters be modern versions?
Will the wave be:
Strictly an homage to the Mattel line?
Strictly an homage to the first maxi-series?
Will other Secret Wars comics characters be included?
And the big question is:
Will the figures all come with lenticular shields?

I’ll definitely take an X-Men 97 Wolverine repainted brown on this card.
Thundersword is such a bold choice to me.

Opportunities abound with this wave. We could get:
-classic Falcon
-improved classic Hobgoblin
-improved classic Iceman
-classic Doctor Doom
-the Beyonder, of course
In addition to more obvious choices.
If the wave focuses on the Mattel line, hopefully they'll be some companion pieces like an Absorbing Man/Titania 2-pack.
I'm a sucker for anything Secret Wars era. Give me Titania, Volcana, Beyonder and a new Wrecking Crew set while we're at it.
