An unmasked James Rhodes head would have gotten me to get that Iron Man, but meh.
Beyonder and Titania are great though. Love the Battleworld accessory!
Loving Titania and the Beyonder - I'm definitely a fan of this look for Beyonder over the crazy armor. It's so gloriously dated and "of its time" - I love it. That Battleworld accessory is great
SO stoked to finally get Titania. I'm also not surprised they covered her up, but I really have to wonder - if they just didn't do that, would anyone have actually cared? Where is this concern over an outcry coming from? I'm not at all bothered by it, but I did have to pull up pictures of comic Titania to figure out why the figure looked wrong at first glance. Either way she's got big flared purple boots, spikes, and a mad as hell face for swinging at She-Hulk - she looks great.
The rest of the wave is cool for what it is. Definitely don't need any of them more than new characters (or classic Falcon!) but can't argue with the logic of putting your heavy hitters in here. Very happy to see the whole wave is normal retail price.
I've decided, with the oversized card already in play for these they should just go ahead and deliver some slightly larger figures in a wave two that are thematic for the comic book but perhaps still a nod for the toy line...
Heroes: Thing in black and red jumpsuit - like he ended the series in; She-Hulk in FF outfit, like she ended the series; classic costume Falcon - to match the original toy line
Villains: Absorbing Man - Titania needs her beau; Wrecker - a lot of people are begging for an update; Volcana - gotta have her in the line
Then one more wave after that to round things out:
Heroes: Classic Claremont era Cyclops; Wasp (alot of costume choices to choose from in that story 😊 ); Spider-Man in the blue and red
Villaims: Magneto - new body in the red and purple; Lizard - slight tweak on the animated version maybe; Thunderball
Adjacent releases - oversized card - Classic Hulk; exclusive two-pack Piledriver and Bulldozer; retailer exclusive - Jumpsuit Xavier and Lockheed
I naively left Thor out of the line up and fear he probably would take the place of one of my choices sadly... probably She-Hulk or Wasp.
Poor Cap, can't get a regular shield to save his life.
It's comedy. I saw Cap in the promo images and thought "finally, a full shield for my 20th anniversary figure!" Then I saw the accessories picture.
I am debating on whether to wait and see if when Secret Wars the movie comes out for a rerelease of Beyonder Doom on the cardback to happen possibly or just get Black Suit Spider-Man. I only want 1 figure on this cardback, but Doom is the one I actually want.
I wonder if Titania has the cover up because she is going to Target and Wally. But if she was only Fan Channel she wouldn't have the cover up...

This is a pretty nifty wave! Definitely going to grab Beyonder and Titania for sure, and probably the Cap and Wolverine! The Iron Man looks nice, but they miscolored the uni-beam... again?? Hopefully we get a second wave with Volcana, Maybe a True classic Kingsley-Hobgoblin and Falcon, a Wrecking-Crew four-pack, and an actual 80's Classic Doom??
At this point I'm assuming that the wrong colored uni-beam and Cap not getting a whole shield is the toy collecting community's punishment for the way the people in the chat section on youtube have behaved in the past. Kind of like if one student throws bubble gum in the teacher's hair but she doesn't know who did it, then everybody has to write "I won't Hubba Bubba in Mrs. O'Gonklin's hair" one hundred times.

Seems I've heard this exact same complaint before in regards to a different Cap. Can't quite put my finger on it.......

Honestly I don't think there's much for me here. Maybe Beyonder......MAYBE. I don't have a connection to the girl. The rest is same old same old.

True. I'm all for mohawk and leather Storm, tiara Luke Cage, disco Dazzler, Longshot and his mullet. Same energy here.

Classic Cap looks really nice. A complete shield would have been nice to get.

This is a killer wave line-up, wow! I think the only one I'm certainly in for is black costume Spider-Man, love that costume and the AF15 body is the best Spidey body the line has to offer. I could be convinced on brown Wolverine, but the headsculpts aren't exactly my cup of tea. Especially that unmasked one.
Sticking with AI Iron Man and 20th Anniversary Cap, pins will never bother me, but cool to see those characters refreshed.
Not much interest in Titania and Beyonder, but they both look really solid.
Looking to order a full set of these. However, I’m confused about that case price from EE. $199 for a case of six. Is that a mistake on the actual number inside the case? Feels like that should be the price for 8 figures.
