How did they escape the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles board and get in to the Marvel Board? Who's on the doors, why did you let this happen?!
I'm assuming you're trolling. But on the off chance you're not, a 1/12 figure is around 6" tall, 1/6 figures like these Mondo ones are around 12" tall.
How much bigger is it volume-wise. I am well aware that they are twice the height.
One poster was saying that they are double the size/volume, perhaps they were trolling, but I believe them to be eight times the size/volume. What do you think? I'm guessing that you think twice too, hence why you accused me of trolling and not the other poster.
Is holding one 1/6 figure in your hand, the same weight as holding eight 1/12 figures in your hand of the same sculpt/character design?
Are you real? Who even wonders about something like this?
Either answer the question if you think you can, or stop trolling with your negative nonsense. You aren't the arbiter of what kind of things someone can or cannot legitimately wonder.
When there has been more than one answer given by different people already, clearly not everyone thinks exactly the same on this subject, so it is legitimate discussion with an achievable resolution point since there is likely only one correct, objective answer to this question rather than multiple.

I collect this line too so I have a legitimate reason to be here.
They say there are no dumb questions but you my friend have proven that wrong today.
So my answer is it doesnt matter. No one here is going to give you an answer to it. It is an asinine discussion. Please move on and don't clog up another thread with your insane musings like you have been for far too long now.

I don't think it's that weird of a question, honestly, especially if you're concerned about space for displaying or storing.
To the original poster's question, I don't have any special figure-volume-measuring devices and am not going to do any math here, but eye-balling it, the X-Men Mondo figures take up 3-4X more space than their Legends counterparts. Sabretooth is pretty big and may actually be like 8X more space, though.
The volume question comes up from time to time, usually in regard to costs. As in, it's incorrect to assume the cost of 1/6 scale figure would be twice the cost of a 1/12 figure. Why? Because Volume
Since I had them nearby, the approximate volume and weight difference between a 1/6 ML Wolverine and the training suit Wolverine is approximately 7X. I took some approximate measurements, (height)*(width across chest and shoulders)*(depth of chest).
6"*2.25"*1"=13.5 cubic inches
10.5"*4"*2.25"=94.5 cubic inches
The weigh difference is 16.2 oz vs. 2.3 oz
Phew, I put too much work into that 😅
Thanks for all the posters that have engaged positively with my question, it does look like misfit was wrong with their response.
It is a shame that other posters got so triggered though, but that happens from time to time when dealing with people both online and off.
Ah yes, the user "Naughty Angel" with a profile picture of a cartoon devil, who has been in other boards sewing discontent, is certainly not "trigger" farming with their asinine questions.
Maybe they're unhappy that they're 1/12th scale in real life and the 1/6th people just don't show them the respect they deserve!
@darkxorn exactly. I typically ignore this person, but on this occasion they seemed legitimately confused about how tall these were, but it was just bait - per usual. Now, as the topic starter, I get to be bombarded with notifications about inane b/s when I log on, but I should have known better and only have myself to blame.
Question...
Does Mondo ever re-stock these?
I initially passed on this line, but my perseverance when out the window and I NEED these...
Gambit is no longer on their site, but can still pre-order from BBTS for a considerable mark-up.
These are already expensive enough, so not trying to pay even more.
@andru I don't think they have for X-Men. In the past, I think they did for Batman so maybe if demand is there? I see Entertainment Earth is already sold out as well. I'd keep an eye on Amazon if you're hoping to pay retail. Other comic and collectibles shops may pop up with Gambits as well.
@misfit Thank you very much!
I ended up ordering Jubilee direct from Mondo in the meantime. Really want to get one of these in my hands and confirm if I even like them or not.
I was going to start with Wolverine from Amazon, but it seems a good portion of reviews claim the Amazon stock has quality issues...which I am not sure how just theirs would be affected?
@andru assuming they aren't bootlegs, I would guess the fail rate for Wolverine from Amazon would be no different from anywhere else. I do think the quality control was lesser with the first releases and has improved with each one. I know I saw some Wolverine reviews where the hips were loose. They're just ball and socket joints so pretty easy to tighten if that's the only issue, though obviously not something that should have to be done with a $200 figure. I personally received a Wolverine that had some gunk stuck to one of the portraits, but aside from that the figure is fine. As long as it's sold by Amazon, the return window should be pretty generous if you get a dud. With how well Rogue and Gambit appear to be selling it's also possible interest in this line is picking up, possibly due to the upcoming X-Men 97, and if any figure was going to get a re-release it would probably be Wolverine so you could try to wait it out.
