First I owe Robokillah an apology. Yesterday in a horrible fit of jealousy, I boob bombed him in yesterday’s Morning Rush. However the end result is positive and we’ll be doing some more work with CAC Photography (link NSFW) in the near future; and we might make the boob bomb more regular. Maybe even an ab bomb for the ladies, gay and bi collectors.
I’m not certain what floors me more. That Funko, a company not known for six inch articulated action figures is making six inch articulated action figure of Game of Thrones figures or Matthew K’s pictures. Let’s address the first part. Funko is a company that’s been around for a while, 1998, and is known for their Pop Vinyl and Wobbler figures. Now we know them for something else, beautifully designed Game of Thrones figures. These things are absolutely amazing to look at and as a first time player in the six inch market they… picked an awesome license and picked the perfect scale. We’ve longed for a good solid fantasy line since Toy Biz’s Lord of the Rings and this might just be the company to produce that genre for us.
Second, Matthew K is a magician with a camera, with his setup, with everything. It is absolutely amazing to look at his photos and his dioramas. As most of you know, or may not, our contributors volunteer their free time to take pictures and write articles for the Fwoosh. When I see what Matt is doing, the time and the love that he puts into his pictures I’m always taken back. They are beautiful, magical pictures by an enthusiast that loves his hobby. I love having Matt on staff and his contributions are out of this world.
For those of you that aren’t paying attention to your news feeds, DC is producing a Flash TV Show. And as part of that they are bringing back John Wesley Shipp, the original Barry Allen from that old Flash TV series. Sounds interesting. Anyone know who he is playing?
Finally MWCToys held their annual vote for toys of the year. This year winner’s are announced and you can follow the link here. Big thank you for Michael Crawford for putting this together year and year out, we know what a big effort it is to put together polls and votes.
That’s all for today! It’s Wednesday, get your hump on.
