This week’s featured custom is spawnsauce’s Queen Khalida!
Spawnsauce has quickly become one of my favorite customizers and the Queen here reminds me of the many reasons why. First off, the subject matter is pretty cool and unique – the Warhammer fantasy world is full of interesting designs ripe for exploration in larger scale custom figures.
Secondly, the sculpting is amazingly detailed, gritty, realistic and beautiful. Look at those wrappings! That mask is so attractive and scary at the same time.
I also love the unique take on soft goods here that almost have a sculptural quality to them. The drapings here hang so naturally and you never really see that with soft goods. Top that off with an amazing multi-layered paint job. Also this week, Ibentmyman-thing fixed one of the old Marvel Legends missteps with this appropriately buff Captain Britain custom. As a huge Alan Davis/Alan Moore Cap run fan, seeing this beauty made my day.
I cannot stress enough how perfect the paint work is on mkultra’s MOTUC customs and Destructor is no different. He’s another great take on the Fuerza-T knock-off line-up!
Wowsers! Sepster chose the perfect base for this classic Marvel character. I love the costume details and super smooth paint work on this custom.
