This week’s featured custom is Lestat’s Black Series Captain Rex in the 6-inch scale.
Lestat makes a great point when he writes in his thread that the prequels aren’t great movies, but there are a lot of cool things to find there. I agree with him that Rex is one of those cool things, and this custom captures that cool perfectly.
I’m no clone-armor expert, but this matches the look from the Clone Wars series well to my eyes. I like that Lestat went the extra mile an added a rocket pack for Rex as well.

The thing that makes this Voz custom for me is that he’s made up of a lot of 4H parts already, so it’s perfect for a DCUC collection. I’m also impressed with the additional fur sculpting ethan did here that matches nicely with the 4H work.
mkultra continues to dazzle with his beautiful vintage-style color schemes and fantastically smooth paint work to make a new character out of an old one with just paint. I want a Yeti Man for my collection now!
I guess Toycooker here got tired of waiting for Hasbro to figure out what’s going on with this unreleased variant of Hyperion and made a Sentry for himself. You have to like the initiative and the results are very good.
Good lord, Fisto is the perfect head sculpt for the classic Hercules look.
This display is amazing in a lot of ways, but the thing that blows me away is that it’s made from laser cut and textured plywood. The illusion of metal is so complete here that I find myself wanting to research laser cutting.
