The Rockies and Red Sox are battling in the World Series, but
McFarlane’s Sports Picks already have their eye on next season. Our MLB

‘HAMBURGER HEAD’ SPAWN COMING FROM MEDICOM TOYS
Japanese toy manufacturer Medicom has announced plans for of a
special-issue "Hamburger Head" SPAWN. The soft vinyl collector doll
(VCD) is currently in the last stages of development, and is scheduled
to be available in March.
This 9-inch limited edition, one-time-only-release figure is super-deformed and destined to be an instant classic!
This isn’t the first time McFarlane has teamed up with Medicom to
produce Spawn-related action figure products. In addition to Kubricks
and Be@rbricks, a hugely popular SPAWN VCD was released in the U.S. in

SPAWN SERIES 33: AGE OF PHARAOHS

Sideshow Collectibles has signed to create a new line of products based
on the award winning zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead. First released in
the United Kingdom in April of 2004, the Studio Canal film reached the
United States the following September and quickly became a genre
classic. Though the US release of the film was limited to fewer than
seven hundred theaters, Shaun of the Dead garnered over thirteen
million dollars at the US box office and just under thirty million
dollars worldwide. The film received the 2004 Saturn Award for Best
Horror Film from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror,
and it was also honored with the 2004 Bram Stoker Award for Best
Screenplay. The Shaun of the Dead license will allow Sideshow to create
a line of 12-inch Figures available soon for preorder.
After a terribly unsuccessful day, complete with being dumped by
his girlfriend Liz, Shaun drowns his sorrows at The Winchester pub
beside his best friend Ed. Drunkenly realizing that his miserable and
mundane routine will never make him happy, Shaun vows to get Liz back,
reconcile with his parents, and make something of his life. Meanwhile,

Highline 1070
HIGHLINE 1070 knows where you’re at. Any creature he establishes a
connection with, either physically, or through his communications
system is saved in his extensive target list. Those that get labeled as
DECEPTICONS, he tracks continually, waiting for them to be in a perfect
spot for an ambush. Then, he lays traps designed specifically for each
enemy, and moves in to finish them off.
Hacker X-3
According to HACKER X-3, there’s no such thing as secret
information. He looks at computer security as a personal challenge, not
because he wants whatever’s behind it for himself, but because he likes
to share the things he discovers with the world. The DECEPTICONS are
fond of secrets, which bugs him, so he goes out of his way to share
their private plans with as many AUTOBOTS as possible.
Foton T-34
PHOTON T-34 works alone. He doesn’t like other robots getting in
the way of his work, which is sabotaging AUTOBOT structures. Special
sensors in his lenses let him target and analyze the worst weakness of
any structure. He uses this data to plan the dramatic destruction of
roads, bridges and buildings when the AUTOBOTS least expect it.

Action Figure Leader Bandai America Inc. Makes its Triumphant Return as the Property’s Master Toy Licensee
A proven leader in the action figure and youth electronics
categories, Bandai America Incorporated today announced that it is
returning to FUNimation Entertainment’s Dragon Ball Z franchise as the
North American master toy licensee. Fans of all ages are poised to see
one of their favorite brands, considered one of the most successful
anime properties from Japan, recapture the excitement since Bandai
America’s last Dragon Ball Z lineup in 2000.
“We are proud of this partnership with Bandai America and we look
forward to unveiling the new line,” said Bob Brennan, director of

with Bandai we can move into the new era of Dragon Ball Z.”
“Beginning Spring 2008, the Dragon Ball Z toy line will be reborn

The Dragon Ball franchise consists of three dynamic sagas, Dragon
Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT, and is one of the most
successful anime properties of all time. The franchise was first
created by Akira Toriyama as a "manga" or comic in the 1980’s. Since
then, it has exploded into a global phenomenon that has generated more
than $4 billion in merchandising sales.
The Dragon Ball Z saga follows the adventures of Goku, who along with
the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action-packed
adventures are not only entertaining, but they reinforce the concepts
of good triumphing over evil, teamwork, loyalty and trustworthiness.
The series airs today on Cartoon Network, as it has since the saga
first debuted in the U.S. back in 1998.
The immensely popular Dragon Ball franchise is also the gold
standard of anime-based video games, with more than 25 different games
