Hasbro: Doctor Strange Marvel Legends Enchantress

enchantress_01The Doctor Strange-themed Marvel Legends wave seems to have a secondary theme of refreshing Marvel Legends released in SDCC box sets. I know this has bothered many, but since I never got those figures, I’m appreciating the second chance at some of them, especially an iconic Thor villain like Enchantress. Let’s take a look!

enchantress_06Enchantress comes in the standard Marvel Legends window box. Normally this goes right in the trash, but I do have to say I really like the artwork on the sides of this box featuring Enchantress and Nico.

Enchantress comes with some green-flavored magic attachments, reused from Scarlett Witch and a BAF part for Dormammu. They are nice looking, if not terribly exciting. I can’t really think of a better accessory for her other than a full-sized figure of her lackey/lover, Skurge.

The sculpt is really nice as they reused an appropriately shapely body type and the head sculpt has a lot of personality with an almost sardonic smirk.

She does have the high-heeled shoes which are character appropriate, but makes it a little rough to balance the figure.

enchantress_12The skirt is a loose piece and it’s flexible, but can be easily knocked askew. The paint is pretty nice with some solid dark green in the body suit and some shiny metallic on the arm bands and legging circles.

enchantress_07Articulation is Marvel Legends standard, but the neck peg is just a ball and so she doesn’t have the nice up/down movement we usually see with the hinge. The high-heeled shoes don’t work as well with the swivel as a flatter foot does.

enchantress_15Overall, this is a really nice figure that I’m glad I got another crack at. I love seeing more Asgardians on the shelf at my stores and I’m hoping that we will see the Executioner in a Thor themed wave sometime.
