The Star Wars news just keeps on coming. Bandai is attending a show overseas and we get a better look at the model kits for Rogue One’s K-2SO and Scarif Stormtrooper, but were we supposed to get a look at their S.H. Figuarts Obi-Wan Kenobi from A New Hope? I wonder if they mean old Ben Kenobi?
We’ve seen official shots of the model Death Trooper and an angle pic of the Scarif Stormtrooper and K-2SO model, but here they are in all their three dimensional glory. Except we’re looking at a picture of them, so not exactly…oh you know what I mean. MODELS!
Besides having decal options it looks as if the Scarif Trooper also has waist gear options. Cloth skirt or armor pieces.
But the biggie is S.H. Figuarts old Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Now remember, preliminary Figuarts always look rough, and the exposure isn’t doing any favors here. Even Luke, who we know looks good in person, isn’t up to snuff. I’m going to wait for actual promo pics before making any decisions but it’s nice to know that Ben is coming in the line, along with Chewbacca. If you haven’t seen Chewbacca…
And don’t think the Falcon ramp is a hint at some future diorama piece, that display has been around since before the first Star Wars SHF even came out, when a sneaky pic revealed both Farmboy Luke and Han. Both of which took forever to come out.
When we’ll actually get old Ben, who can say? Bandai just solicited seven figures last night that will take us to next February and they seem to be pushing Chewie hard. Next summer? Hopefully?
