  1. I took the glider, cape, bag and head from the Toybiz Spidey Classics figure and substituted those in on the Hasbro Space Venom wave figure. Dremelled out the peg hole in the head and made a hole in the glider to fit the Demogoblin wave stand. And tada, Ultimate FrankenHobby figure! This is the way.

  2. On the plus side, I hope Hasbro continues to move away from the cel-shaded figures. I didn’t buy any. Just keep the paint clean on all the figures and let people add their own shading, dry-brushing, washes, etc. Please and thank you.

  3. Agreed. We get a pinless all-new Mary Jane with an outdated Green Goblin buck…Colors will probably not match with the retro-carded Goblin, but you could make it work.

  4. So with each iteration of Green Goblin we’ve gotten a new head, but with the retro-carded Hobgoblin we got a re-issue of the crappy head from the Space Venom wave? I don’t get it…

  5. Looks like the same upper torso, and that one only ever had the one neck hinge/peg as far as I’m aware, so the heads should be compatible.

  6. I love the Green Goblin head, but not much else. Why does he have the outdated pinned legs and arms? I could understand if he had the scaled joints, but he doesn’t.

I wonder if the head is compatible with the vintage card one.

  7. I dig this and the previously announced two-pack, but wish the cel-shaded X-figures had managed this much new tooling that the Animated Spidey figures are getting.
