See I was giving the benefit of the doubt because that’s NOT first appearance Sabertooth. He had full boots and gloves in that costume, also that head sculpt if a bit of a nightmare. I know everyone is all about the Jim Lee redesign but I love the classic design and it sucks to see it messed with, especially since you know they won’t do another.
An entire Mutant X wave (or two) would be ideal, really.
Backpack could be Amazing Spider-Man?
I know that’s Havok’s classic costume but he’s had some other looks I’d like to see (Mutant X for example). This is like the 3d time it seems that look has been released in fig form.
Saved so much money this year by buying so few Marvel Legends! Looks like I’ll continue saving into 2022!

That’s a pretty good Idea. I already used an extra Omega Red buck to make the powered up Caliban. He does suffer a bit of Big Head Syndrome though. That BAF was just too freaking big. Never shoulda been a BAF. He should be around the same size as Sabretooth at his largest. However, that buck they used for him is excellent. Wish they’d find another use for it.
This is what I think they were going for too. The Alan Davis look was one of the best. The only thing is that Davis drew him without Pupils so it doesn’t quite match up. I’m thinking the ML design was somewhere between this one and as he appeared in PPTSSM #119.
I’m buying two Darwin’s just to make one Skinny Caliban. The prices for the BAF Caliban are outrageous.
HAHAHAHA!….. I am glad I am not the only who goes through drawers looking for a better option….. But yeah…. I like flowing hair HAVOC better…..
Havok looks great! I’ve wanted a remake of him in his classic costume for a while. Always loved the head piece!
So if you are a Thor comic fan all you can expect to get is reissues of older figures and movie figures later this year. Before we got that 80th Thor repackaged, a redo of Ulik, Loki with a different head and same terrible body we need some new core characters. We need a comic Odin, Heimdall, Balder, the Warriors Three, Executioner, Destroyer, Mangog and a Frost Giant!
I’d say their issue are more with applying the hair pieces or the hair sculpts not being quite right than the faces, per se. they have the same issues with male figures in that respect, but because they have less hair, generally, it’s not as glaring a problem. But I’m open to learn. What’s your beef with recent faces?

Lol, well I’m glad to know it’s not just me. I do the same thing where I find an excuse to go in, walk out in 30 seconds, and drive off annoyed I even stopped. I used to have pretty good luck with Walgreens exclusives until about 2 years ago. I would like to blame Covid, but like I said, they seem to be carrying everything except ML. Bizarro world.
Why Hulk look like a Mick Jagger?
Hulk can’t get satisfaction from this sculpt.
I’m glad they’re trying new stuff but I still prefer the Can of Beams effects for Havoc.
Glad they didn’t just slap a Jean Grey head on a base female body and call it a day, but yeah, I would also like a screaming Siryn head. Pack it in with Banshee, ok Hasbro?
I also prefer Havoc in that outfit without the mask. Gonna have to go through my drawer full of heads and find a replacement.

But like an OCD nightmare, every time I drive past a Walgreens, I find a reason to stop in, piss myself off, and stroll on out. No marvel legends in sight anywhere. Ever.
Thank goodness that original Toybiz Jigsaw variant is one of the best figures and still holds up really well.
Whoever did the face sculpts for AOA Kitty, Retro Susan Storm and now Siryn needs to be kept far, far away from future female face sculpting duties.
I have about…9 in my area I rotate around and, yeah the only figure I have seen is the Medusa and the Moon Knight in the last couple years. Walgreens is a joke because they have absolutely no accurate inventory tracking for their figures. They break up cases and send stuff randomly to locations, each one getting maybe one or two figures instead of a full case. I’ve been pretty steamed with them since they sent me on a wild goose chase for the Mystique figure and a bunch of locations showed inventory when I asked the stores to look it up and all they actually had 0 in stock.
So close to getting a proper update to Astonishing Wolverine. That said, I do like that head sculpt. It looks like a 3D translation of the Jim Lee-era cowl.
Robo made a custom tank guy action figure years back, or talked about it doing it in a video, or maybe it was something I dreamed in my sleep. So many fwoosh videos. I’m going with YES, I think it was real.
Love that Havok. He looks totally awesome! That Sabretooth will not be replacing my ToyBiz First Appearance figure though. What is up with his face?? Terrible.
Ulik, Zemo, and Jigsaw, are all great looking figures as well. Too bad they are all store exclusives. Going to be harder to pin down.

SIRYN!! I’m so excited to finally see Siryn, especially in my favorite costume of hers. She’s been at the top of my wishlist for years, since the glory days of 5” Toy Biz. Aside from a minimate, this is her first action figure, ever.
I wish the green was a shade or two lighter, or at least metallic. Glad to see the cape is soft goods.
Was there any mention of an alternate head? I was hoping for a neutral head and an alternate with screaming face and hair-waving in the wind. But it looks like this may be the only one?
Now bring on 90s X-Factor/Excalibur Wolfsbane, X-Force Feral and a deluxe Excalibur Rachel Summers with flaming wing effects!

Not thrilled about Zemo and Jigsaw being Walgreens exclusives (is it only Canadian Gamestops?). I have 7 Walgreens in my town, and none have had a ML for over a year (even though they have WFC Transformers, Black Series, and Power Rangers). Still no sign of Nova anywhere here.

Love the X-Men wave! Vulcan looks incredible for such a simple figure. I love Darwin too, he can be used as Darwin, or you can paint his head white, paint two dot eyes on him, and make him Caliban! You can also use his body as an alternate look for Wild Child (if you own the Age of Apocalypse figure).
I love how Maggot turned out, even though I want his sunglasses…I guess I will have to cannibalize the Shadow King Head that came with hoverchair professor X. Love classic Sabretooth also. Now I need a Betsy Braddock figure in the pink pajama costume to recreate X-Men 213. Any hardcore Marvel fan knows that is Sabretooth in his first appearance and they literally said in the video they are working on a larger Sabretooth with that body.
