Call it blasphemy but I actually prefer my Transformers to not transform.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve bought more than my fair share of Hasbro’s War for Cybertron Siege and Earthrise figures, but I rarely change them into the vehicle modes, if at all. I’m in it for the robots, the characters, and look for as close to cartoon style as possible. It looks like Hasbro will have a line for those who share in my interest.
IGN has revealed Transformers R.E.D. Optimus Prime and Megatron. Six inch versions of the characters without all the kibble and extra joints that come with the transformation feature. Six inches clocks in shorter than Earthrise or Siege versions of the leaders but I think they will fudge in.
It looks like these will be available on Walmart.com this Friday, the same day as the livestream for reveals. Could this be just the start? Will we see more? Will I slowly be replacing my Autobots and Decepticons on the shelf?
