That’s something I’ve asked myself for years and years, not quite knowing how to fix my goblin-less existence. Well, now we have a chance.
Plunderlings on Instagram has been showing a neat little prototype that caught my eye, and since seeing it, I can’t help but feel the need to own one. And that’s their plan. Express enough interest and they will run a Kickstarter to get them made. So go give them a follow and some hearts and let’s get this thing moving!
Plunderlings (the name comes from Plundering-Underlings), is a line of goblin-like action figures from the Caribbean. We are first and foremost toy enthusiasts that for many years had an impish shaped hole in our collections. So, we aimed to make a figure that captures the mischievous fun that only a single-minded goblin can provide. While there is some lore and backstory that has been developing simultaneously, the idea was to build a figure that is versatile enough that it could sit conformably next to your MOTU, TNMT, Figuarts or Mythic Legions.
The first prototype was essentially naked. But devious.
The current proto adds pants and alternate hands and I like it even more. It adds another layer to the overall look.
Like I said, give them a follow because I really, really want to see these made. I’m going to need a small group of them, and if the process grows to include some of the accessories from the reference art, ooooooo.
