Hasbro: Marvel Legends Vehicles Professor X and Scooter Deadpool Review

The new Marvel Legends Vehicles are already hitting Canada and one of my good friends to the north was kind enough to send along his thoughts on Professor X and Deadpool!

You can check out Troy’s Instagram for more pics and video turnarounds!

DEADPOOL WITH SCOOTER:

Deadpool, oh Deadpool. The figure is FUN, the face is killer. It’s very photogenic. The body is the Juggs wave Deadpool with a different harness. It took me about 30 mins (literally) to get that Deadpool to sit on that vespa because the articulation. I wish it had butterfly joints because it would make posing A LOT easier.

Dogpool is articulated in the head, arms and waist, but the range of movement is limited in the arms, the just twist side to side. So you won’t get him to stand like a dog. The squirrel isn’t articulated, but damn it looks good.

Getting the squirrel on the dog’s back is easy, but when it comes to the dog on the vespa and attaching it to Deadpool, oh the pain…

The sword sheathes are in the way, so you need to pose them on a bit of an angle, but once it’s on there, it looks fun. Just don’t touch anything because it’s not the sturdiest.

Now the sticker sheet. I thought mine didn’t come with it, and I was panicked. I went back to the box, and took out the cardboard insert and bam, they were at the bottom of the actual box.

I did find a home for the Vespapool, and it looks good with the rest of the Deadpool Corps.

Then there is the Bob head. Great addition to the set. It’s great that a simple head can give us an entirely new character, and one that fits perfectly with Deadpool and his gang.

PROFESSOR X WITH HOVERCHAIR:

So Professor X is a winner. I think of the RuPaul gif every time I see this figure…

The face sculpt is fun, and those brows are giving me life, but the helmet doesn’t really sit well on the head, and I feel like I’m going to get some paint rub on the head if I play with it too much. The psychic effect isn’t the best, but it plugs into the helmet at the back.

The body is the same old suited body, still with one leg longer than the other, but because he’s sitting it doesn’t really effect the figure.

The hover chair is the exciting part. Even though there is a seam going down the middle, which is probably the biggest let down, the chair just screams Xavier. The panels on the side open and close revealing some key pads and such.

But the figure just looks damn cool posed with other X-Men.

The Shadow King head looks AMAZING! I wish I had the Kingpin BAF (C’mon FEDEX, Dorkside shipped them out Dec 28th!) But be careful, those glasses are removable and seem a bit flimsy. If you lose them, they’ll be hard to find.

You can pre-order Professor X and Deadpool as both a set and singles at Dorkside Toys!
