Another excellent batch of homemade action figures to Frenzy this week. Or should I say two weeks. I’ve found putting a little time between eBay deep dives refreshes the waters a bit. Which makes sense, given that most auctions are up a week and I usually go searching on Sundays. But I’m basically overcomplicatingly explaining the basic function of an auction site. I feel like I should keep typing but to hell with that, customs!
I am a complete and utter sucker for lava effects so this Absorbing Man jumped out at me right off the bat. It also has ice and metal effects, go check it out.
Not figures but I’m still at that stage of daydreaming about elaborate Matt K type dioramas for my photo shoots and these dumpsters would get me one step closer to that. Oh, and the room to store all the props. And the actual skills to take pictures that good.
I love me some Hal Jordon, and The Spectre look was amazing. Looks great in plastic form too.

I never knew too much about Black Tarantula but I always liked the design.
I have no clue who Darth Wredd is supposed to be (ROBO DOESN’T KNOW A CHARUCTER, NOT TRU STAR WARS FAN, U SUCK ROBO, OMG!!) but I like the look. The power of a good action figure…
This TMNT painted Star Wars case is freaking me out. I look at it and my eyes go cross. And that’s not a swipe at it, I love it. But I get a pain in my brain and start smelling something burning.

I think I’m enamored with Horde Troopers because I never grabbed any for myself. I have no clue why. I love the design, I think I’d like the figure, but I keep talking myself out of them.

I’m firmly in the “Ororo’s Lee costume should be black” camp but I know it was different colors in different mediums. None of that changes the fact that this Storm kicks ass.
Another Horde Trooper but a brilliant use of a base body. I almost wanna do this more than getting an actual trooper….
I’ve gotten in the habit of featuring some New Mutants/X-Force in the Frenzy because A) People have been kicking ass with the customs and B) Shatterstar, Cable, and 90s Deadpool has my heart yearning for more. MORE. The hair on this Cannonball is a little weird but I’d take a Sam in this costume any day of the week.
I kind of wish there was some representation of her power but the head on this Karma is gorgeous.
I’m sure I’ve featured this Feral before, or an earlier version, but I can’t help it. Gets me every time.
This Warpath costume isn’t 100% accurate, and truthfully I’d personally want a big huge ’90s style version to go along with the X-Force Hasbro seems to be starting, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want a modern version like this too. The head is spot-on and the Captain Britain reuse works for me.
