Jim Pansen Creations: Mythic Legions Heads

Want to add a little more variety to you Mythic Legions? Jim Pansen Creations has you covered with original head sculpts of the Orcs Orgoth and Borug and the Dwarf Baldur Grimwill to use with your Mythic Legions figures. I’m so happy to see Jim Pansen Creations stepping into the Mythic Legions world because his style meshes so nicely with the Four Horsemen and it adds to the whole universe. Let’s take a look at Baldur, Borug, and Orgoth!

I love the Mythic Legions Dwarves. I only got a few because I was trying to spread my money out among many of the different factions and body types in the original Kickstarter, but I’m adding more whenever I can.

Baldur has a perfect classic Dwarve look with a gigantic beard and prominent ears and nose. I love all the detail in the beard sculpt, and the proportions are perfect for the Mythic Legions Dwarve body.

The paint job on this guy is fantastic with some subtle washes and dry brushing on the beard and really sharp, lively eyes.

The head is cast in a hard plastic, but it pops on and off the Mythic Legions neck post easily and stays on solidly, retaining poseability.

All aspects of this sculpt work perfectly with the Mythic Legions. I actually like it on the Bog Goblin and the Forrest Dwarve as well. I think I may use this on the pre-ordered Cavern Dwarve from Mythic Legions 2.0.

Orgoth is heavy-set Orc who has a removable helmet!

The helmet is designed to work with the Urzokk armor, and it slips on and off really easily without being too loose. I was a little worried about the paint getting scraped off by the helmet, but there was no issue there.

I love the way he looks with and without the helmet and he’s got a lot of character in the face. He definitely has the look of an overconfident commander.

I also dig that he has a head injury that looks to have been stapled closed.

This figure really makes me wish I had bought a few legion builder Orcs. The paint is a perfect match to the Mythic Legions Orc green.

He looks good on the Urrku body as well and I’d love to see it on a the legion builder.

Finally we are going to take a look at Borug. Borug is designed to work with the Urrku body and matches perfectly in design and paint.

Borug has an amazingly nasty snarl and a mouth bursting with nasty teeth. It’s an intimidating look.

Like the other two head sculpts this sculpt pops on the Mythic Legions neck peg perfectly. It’s totally plug-and-play with no modifications required.

The head fits on the Urzokk body nicely as well and I’m sure would look great on the army builder as well.

Jim Pansen creations has always impressed me with the quality of paint and sculpt and these are no different. I’d say they represent a significant stride forward in sculpt, which is saying something because the sculpts were already excellent.
