You may remember the disappointment of hearing that the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Dr. Strange will be a Bandai Web exclusive, but that sadness passed quickly when Bluefin swept through and announced they would be distributing it to other regions and that a U.S. exclusive item would be announced at a later date. Well, it’s a later date…
I still haven’t seen the movie (bad Robo!) so I don’t know what flame effects have to do within the context of the film, but added accessories are added accessories and I have to admit, Dr. Strange does look pretty badass surrounded by fire.
Now, we have seen these flames before in the Tamashii Effects line. The blue version is still easily obtainable but it seems the red is long gone and pricey. I never got around to getting any of those sets but it seems the new ones are lighter and less red than the originals.
That much extra plastic does effect the price a bit. The U.S. exclusive version is $84.99. But it does release in June, which is the same month as the overseas version.
