UPDATED! Kaiyodo: Amazing Yamaguchi Venom Promo Images

Oh man, look at the big mass of alien symbiote Kaiyodo is about to drop into their Amazing Yamaguchi line. They are Venom!

I know what you’re thinking. Revoltech articulation. I used to think the same thing, and still do when I see a lot of the new stuff. But there is just something about this Marvel line that makes me gloss right over the look of the  joints. Maybe it’s the stylized sculpts and the amazing range of movement but Deadpool was a game-changer for me. It looks like Spider-Man will be more of the same, but now seeing Venom in action, with his extra mass and additional articulation (yeah, that’s what a Revoltech figure needs, MORE articulation), and I can’t pre-order this badboy fast enough.

First, it looks to be a good size compared to Spidey. Not super tall but bulky as all hell.

Are those articulated fingers I spy?

If I were to hazard a guess, the figure has interchangeable eyes by way of swapping the whole top of the head. You can see the different looks to the eyes but no seams around them. Also, articulated jaw and tongue.

But the damn thing can do this, which is awesome for such a thick figure.

Like I said, it’s stylized. Some people may not like the jagged points and veins, but that’s the point of the line. Crazy look, crazy articulation. And none of these shots even show the tendrils that can apparently be attached to the back or swapped out at the wrists.

I was right about the interchangeable skull cap. It’s the top of the head, two options. Also, here are the tentacles.

The tentacles can be attached in all sorts of configurations.

And again, just look at the range of movement here. It’s almost like a smaller figure in a big gooey suit of muscle!

Amazing Yamaguchi Venom has a MSRP of 7800 yen and will release in May of 2017. THat’s quite a wait after Spider-Man releases in January but it looks to be worth it.
