To be brutally honest, Shōken wasn’t high on my list of gotta-haves with the Articulated Icons line. Not that I didn’t want him, but with ninja and samurai and warrior monks, a guy in a gi just didn’t seem as exciting. But in-hand, that all changed.
Speaking as someone with stakes in the line, I’m pretty proud that the figure exceeds my expectations. As a toy collector/fan though, it’s blowing my mind how much I’m liking the figure. What could be a plain figure turns out to be pretty powerful in-person. It’s got some force behind it. I don’t know if that makes sense so I’ll just say it’s fun to pose.
