NECA: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Eastman & Laird Foot Clan NYCC Exclusive

NYCC-TMNT-GROUP-feature

Did you see it? NECA just announced their exclusive for New York Comic Con, and if you are a TMNT fan, it is another DOOZY.

Similar to their 16-Bit offering, this new set is exclusive to the NYCC show, but it features some figures that we have been waiting for for a LONG time. To complete the original line-up for their Eastman and Laird comic-style figures, the new Foot Clan box set can join Leo, Raph, Mikey, Don, and April on your collection shelf.

It has taken some patience, but NECA has found a way to make this collection complete, and we are so happy they did!

One of the coolest aspects for us here at the Fwoosh is that, if that box art photography looks familiar, it is because our very own Matthew K was tapped to take the pictures for this set. Everything looks amazing under Matt’s lens, and we are thrilled and thankful that Randy, Trevor, and the rest of the gang an NECA made this feature possible!

You can also check out some of the additional photography Matt did for the feature right here as well. Also, keep it right here because we will have some additional in-hand pictures to share with you very soon.

The NECA TMNT train keeps rolling and this one should make a lot of collectors happy, it is a thrill to finally complete this seminal TMNT set.

Again, thanks to the entire NECA crew for making this set possible, and for featuring Matt on the box!

In the set, you get Shredder, an Elite Foot Soldier, a standard Foot Ninja, and a Foot Ninja with head band. Oh, and an Utrom as well!

Here is a rooftop battle story by Matt K that definitely recalls the original comic book sequence:

  1. Oh yeah, that’s the line that got me back into toys. I must have bought 3 or 4 sets of turtles from that line, all to customize in various styles. Then I saw what Hasbro was putting out and, well, here we are today, commenting on action figure websites and loving every minute of it.

  2. I am not sure. I got one legit Michelangelo, he has a small paint defect and his hands pop off al the time, not mention that one his leg joint popped off a bit lately and I barely played with him.

  3. Isn’t that also NECA fault? They could have sold it back then or when they finished making it, the license was already returned to Playmates?

  4. Anyone know where on the NECA site this will go up? Currently they don’t seem to have even a page for it.

  5. I actually do have them. Sort of. It’s the red, blue, orange and purple variant knockoffs and k agree, they’re pretty awesome. But the originals would have just felt cooler. You know what I mean? Like, Grocery story cereal still tastes fine, but sometimes you want legit fruit loops.

  6. Way to go, Matt!

And I’ve got two alarms set to remind me about this pre-order. They will be mine!

  7. Those would definitely look good with my KO NECA Turtles with the multicolored headbands. Still would like to see the SDCC Turtle molds in a less exclusive fashion as well.

  8. I saw all 4 at Suncoast over a decade ago and said, “pssh… Turtles? That’s kids stuff.” Then spent 10 years crying myself softly to sleep for passing on them. If Suncoast still existed (does it?) and these weren’t exclusives, I’d be camping outside their mall cage door all night for these fellas.

Alas, I won’t be able to get to NYC comic con, so no Shredder for me. At least this time it’s not entirely my fault. I’m sure I’ll be able to sleep better this time around.

(Edit: I just saw they’ll be sold online starting Thursday. I’m keeping the original post as to not hide the fact that I’m a dope. Lesson learned, always read)

  9. Cool! I didn’t grab the SDCC sets but I just might pick one of these up. Making them available on their site definitely helps. Just sucks that Playmates won’t do anything like this or put in more effort on their products for collectors.

  10. Well, then.

Guess I’ll try and order the set online and sell off the non-Shredder figures.

  11. They literally stayed they will be selling them on their store. It’s better than the SDCC set.

  12. You can order them on their site starting on Thursday and they will ship them to you if you cannot go to NYCC.

NECA is completely hamstrung with this due to Playmates.

  13. ^^^THIS^^^

I have been yearning for this Shredder ever since they showed him like six years ago. And it’s a damn NYCC exclusive. That’s bullcrap, NECA.

  14. just in case, if someone is planing trip to NYCC to geth them or is considering buying/selling these let me know.. we could make a deal..
