Bandai: S.H. Figuarts Star Wars Clone Captain Tamashii Nations 2016 Exclusive

After the onslaught of announced Rogue One product, at least in terms of S.H. Figuarts, Bandai still has some surprises up their sleeve. I shudder at the thought of trying to get this one though.

But if any character had to be a show exclusive this is probably the one to pick. We knew that the clone body would be re-used. Hell, it already has been once with the upcoming Phase 2 Clone Trooper and at various shows the body has been shown with different rank markings, the Captain included.

Then there is the fact that I think the body is a little small. I just believe that it doesn’t quite fit into an all-encompassing 1:12 Star Wars display, especially since all Clone Troopers are, well, clones. I think that of all S.H. Figuarts troopers though.

Finally, I’m completely good with the Black Series version. The BS Clone even has a little more range of movement in the elbows. But that comes down to the design of the armor itself.

Basically what I’m trying to say is that if show exclusives have to be done, this is the way to go. Which is good because the Clone Captain seems to be available only at the Tamashii Nations show, October 28-30. I’m personally good with skipping this figure like I did with the Phase 2 Clone, but I don’t envy those who do want this release. I can’t imagine how hard or expensive this will be to get.
