I can see that there are announcements on my favorite Japanese retailers, AmiAmi and Hobby Search, saying that there are holidays and they are closed for the next few days. Well that sucks! Where am I supposed to get new and exciting figma and Bandai news for you?
Figma’s blog is pretty dry right now. Tamashii has some interesting tidbits. I came across an unpainted sculpt/prototype of the next S.H. Figuarts KanColle Atago. Another character based on the Japanese cruiser of the same name. I haven’t seen pre-orders yet, so you can live with the pics.
In other news, in our figma thread on the fwoosh forums there was some advice given about where one can order Japanese exclusives. Many of the Japanese exclusives cannot be ordered directly from Japan and you have to use another party to help you out. Here’s a list of online services:
