Looks like the holidays in Japan are over and pre-order information is starting to pop out again. AmiAmi has a listing for Bandai’s Tower of the Sun Robot up on their site and Hobby Search also has a listing up here. Check out the official site here. Tower of the Sun is an actual building in Japan that is the symbol of Expo ’70, the World’s Fair held in Osaka Japan in 1970. I have no idea why anyone needed to make this into a transforming robot, but with it’s 3 faces it makes for an interesting design. Maybe the N-Scale model railroaders can couple him up in a diorama battling it out with Godzilla or Power Rangers.
